I'm sorry that it took me this long to review Casa Pellegrino. We have been here in the BNB as well as restaurant. I recommend it to everyone. Very lovely staff, they always are generous and the food is fantastic. They grow most of their produce and make their own cakes/bread. . Martina and Filippo are like family now. They remember what you like and make everything special. For kids, little playground and toys in the space. Bathrooms always very clean. As a BNB guest can say that the place was spotless and the rooms were always perfect.

A wonderful experience in a unique place next to the Sanctuary of the Madonna dell'Aiuto. The food is excellent, with authentic, home-made food. I recommend it.

Far from the usual tourist traps, this is a true gem of Sicilian hospitality, with some German roots. You'll hardly find more beautiful views, better food, and a more pleasant atmosphere on the east coast of Sicily. If you're not afraid of the road conditions and have a good driving aptitude, you shouldn't miss this idyllic place.

A full 5, well deserved! The place is fabulous, and even in August you can still enjoy the cool air. The food is excellent and authentic, just like it used to be. The staff is very courteous and friendly, something you don't find even in the most prestigious restaurants anymore. The price is right, and the experience is absolutely recommended.

07.31.2025 Yesterday afternoon we went for the first time, with the hope of returning, and amazed by the enchanting and naturalistic place that Mount Kalfa offers on the village of Roccafiorita (Me) we entered the restaurant La Casa del Pellegrino owned by Mr. Filippo and his wife Martina, a very good cook, kind and helpful people from another time who offered us their complete menu of everything, but really everything, which left us exemplarily satisfied. The photos say it all, our satisfaction even more.

We dined by candlelight on the benches in front of the restaurant. The owners' hospitality was genuine, as was the homemade food and the excellent dishes. 100% satisfied. After dinner, we went a short distance to the nearby Church of the Madonna dell'Aiuto to look out over the majestic landscape overlooking the valleys and villages below: Limina, Roccafiorita, etc. In the distance, you can admire the Matterhorn of Sicily, or Rocca Salvatesta (Novara di Sicilia).

Fantastic view, delicious, top-quality food, and attentive service! We had a thoroughly positive experience with the best food we'd had in Sicily so far. Some of the ingredients are homegrown and therefore delicious, and we also had a lovely chat with Martina about the restaurant and life in the region. Fantastic view, delicious, top-quality food, and attentive service! We were very happy that we stayed an extra day on the mountain with our camper to eat with Martina. She served us an excellent vegetarian meal, and every little antipasti was more delicious than the one before it. Many of the ingredients come from her own farm, and you can taste it! After dinner, we had a great conversation with her. She's originally from Hamburg, and since I'm also from northern Germany, it was an interesting exchange about cultural differences. Restaurant on the top of the mountain, enchanting location, good food, I highly recommend it!

A truly wonderful visit! We came here on a recommendation. The journey is long, but truly beautiful. It's also worth stopping below the restaurant to see other sights, such as the grotto. The restaurant impresses with incredibly friendly service – you feel welcome from the very first moment. The food was not only delicious but also fresh and prepared with care. The prices are absolutely fair and more than appropriate for the quality. The breathtaking view deserves special mention, making the experience even more special. The hosts – a warm and welcoming couple from Hamburg/Sicily – lovingly attend to their guests and create a relaxed, family-like atmosphere. We will definitely be back! Perhaps even overnight. We were given a tour of the beautiful rooms with their stunning views, and breakfast was included. Thank you so much!
