Typical trattoria with excellent local dishes. The Valpellinese soup is delicious! Arnad lard melts in your mouth The strudel with custard is also excellent

Casa Ciuca è un piccolo locale nel borgo di Bard che offre una buona scelta di piatti tipici fatti con prodotti locali. Il servizio è semplice e cordiale. Buona la gestione delle intolleranze alimentari. In particolare ci sono piaciuti molto l'antipasto di crostini con il lardo di Arnad e la fonduta servita con mocetta, polenta e patate. Se avete intenzione di visitare il forte di Bard, fatevi una passeggiata nel borgo e fermatevi a riempire la pancia da Casa Ciuca!

A quick lunch before going to visit the Castel Savoia in Gressoney, driven by curiosity, because some reviews were terrible, others were absolutely positive, however we were lucky and found a place because there were only 2 of us, because they don't accept reservations. Excellent food, staff in my opinion, welcoming enough, without being intrusive

Very nice restaurant with a rustic air, it almost feels like staying at grandma's house due to the atmosphere of the place. The food, typical of the Aosta Valley, is nothing short of amazing! The prices are proportionate to the quality and the quantity is not overwhelming as usually happens in mountain places. I had lunch here yesterday and with 2 dishes (1 first course and 1 second course), 2 desserts, water and 2 coffees I spent less than €60. The staff is also very professional and kind. I recommend this restaurant for anyone who is in Bard to visit the village or the fort.

Ottimo ristorante situato nel centro di Bard a pochi passi dal forte. Piatti buoni e porzioni abbondanti. Personale molto gentile e disponibile. Prezzi alti al di sopra della media

21/02/2025: Every time I come to La Thuille I stop by this excellent pastry shop/chocolate shop. I happened to come here early in the morning or in the afternoon after skiing. The owner is very helpful and friendly. The quality is exceptional. I just can't help but come here 🎵🎶🙂

Trattoria Hostaria del Calvino

01/03/2025: We arrived from Lecce and based on the reviews we had dinner in this restaurant in the center. Part of the room is a very characteristic vaulted basement. Very smart and quick staff. We took the Aosta Valley menu and it must be said that everything was very good. I can say the prices were right. 126 euros for 4. Very good local red wine. I looked at the menus displayed in other places and the prices seemed high to me. Pear and walnut risotto n.1. The lard and cured meats on the platter were super. For a tourist like me everything was really excellent. I don't know how a true Valle d'Aosta would judge it. Highly recommended.
28/02/2025: Local in the center of Aosta, which offers a menu that satisfies everyone! We went straight to the Aosta Valley dishes, in detail I had an appetizer and the Aosta Valley cutlet! Everything excellent
