We came here as a family of 5 travelling from the UK. It was close to our accomodation but it came with very good reviews so we tried it for lunch on our final day after check out. The food did not disappoint we had eaten pizza everyday to this point, this being our 4th pizza of the trip. It was definitely the best we'd had in the city (we didn't try them all!) the service was good and the lunchtime atmosphere was great, the place was full of locals having their lunch on a weekday which we took as a good sign. It gets busy but food comes out quickly and is delicious.

Every time it is an unforgettable experience, unforgettable because that explosion of flavors remains like a memory in the mind, waiting to try them again.
My favorite pizza is Elena Farnese, games of double consistencies, fresh and warm flavors at the same time, availability and courtesy have distinguished Pizzeria Carmenella for years now, and the experience of maestro Esposito is undisputed.
I highly recommend it.
