It looks inconspicuous from the outside, but even cooler from the inside. Therefore only recently discovered, otherwise they would definitely have come earlier.
Very good local cuisine and nice atmosphere. Small but very fine local menu.
Be sure to reserve if there are several people. Also have their own wine.
Was very satisfied and would like to come back, at the latest next autumn for the Elbaman.

Appuntamento fisso da ormai 3 anni, siamo rimaste piacevolmente colpite dall’aver trovato il locale più pieno del solito, nonostante l’orario sul presto e il periodo tardivo - oltre metà settembre. Per noi è una garanzia, pochi piatti eseguiti benissimo, una zuppa di pesce all’Elbana da uscire di testa.
Un ambiente che sa di storia, di un secolo passato, arredato con un mix curato di pezzi antichi che scaldano l’atmosfera, servizio curato, attento e simpatico.
Unico consiglio - che ho dato di persona al proprietario- è di rivedere l’attuale presentazione del polpo all’Elbana, piatto strepitoso che però andrebbe rivisto nella sua attuale presentazione un po’ misera.
Se siete all’ Elba è da provare.

We took the octopus (an octopus served whole with boiled potatoes) and the peposo (served with potatoes and their broth).
Very good and plentiful dishes but still high prices especially for water and cover charge: €3 each. All dishes over €20.
Pleasant environment, very friendly service. Although it is called a "cellar" it has very little choice of wines by the glass.

4 adults and 2 children, we were staying within walking distance for the holiday. A truly unexpected location (we stayed outside but the inside is beautiful). The children had a good time, all the dishes were plentiful and tasty, the bill was fair. Highly recommended!
