Old-fashioned trattoria with a splendid fireplace, simple but very good food, very honest prices... well done!!!!!!

It lived up to what I'd been told. Excellent food, great service, and a homey atmosphere, like being at a friend's house. Go there!!!

This trattoria is located on a small street in the historic center of Blera. A wooden door leads to a ground-floor room furnished with large wooden tables, stone walls, and wooden beams on the ceiling. There's another room in the basement. We start with the house antipasto, a small plate with a slice of prosciutto crudo and capocollo accompanied by a bruschetta made with freshly made extra virgin olive oil. We also ordered beans with pork rinds and coratella (a kind of lamb cutlet), all delicious and plentiful, accompanied by the house vinobrosso. Next, we chose two starters: tagliolini with sheep's milk ragù and tagliolini with chanterelle mushrooms. For main courses, we also chose two starters: lamb cacciatore in bianco (white) and mutton with potatoes in tomato sauce. To finish, we enjoyed homemade desserts: wine-flavored donuts, coffee, and a house liqueur. Service was prompt, courteous, and friendly.

A trattoria like no other. Appetizer, main course, side dish, dessert: 20 euros per person.

It's a very familiar and easy-going environment and I like that a lot. I've eaten there on several occasions and usually - apart from some overly peppery foods - I'm happy. The last experience was a bit disappointing because the little girl at our table was served last at 2:30 pm and when all of us adults had finished a while ago. We then had to ask several times for what we were missing and we even had to ask for the bill twice... but it must be said that it was only one occasion and I hope I don't find myself in the same situation in the future... The food is home-made, the kind that reminds you of family lunches when you were little and it's worth trying at least once: simple and tasty choices. Few vegetables. Oh: you need to book in advance, otherwise... no baby food!
