We've dined at this restaurant twice within a couple of months. The food is excellent, the ingredients are carefully selected, and the staff is very friendly. Highly recommended!

To escape the daily grind, we had lunch out. We chose Caluae because it was just passing through our destination. I was struck by the introduction to their menu, which explains the establishment's origins and management—a lovely detail. I found the place to be clean, which is important, with simple yet elegant tablecloths. The service was very attentive and orderly. The choice of dishes: a mixed cured meats appetizer, a sliced steak, a plate of tortelli stuffed with meat and topped with truffle, a side of potatoes preserved in ash with crusco peppers, a delicious mille-feuille pasta with cream and berries, and a red fruit cheesecake.
The food was very good; the only flaw was the portions, a bit small. As the sign at the entrance says, BEYOND TRADITION, you can feel the tradition and also understand that a lot of thought goes into what they prepare.

Valentine's Day to forget: total disorganization.
We visited on February 14th; I understand the crowds, but waiting an hour and twenty minutes at the table with only a bottle of wine is absurd. The appetizer arrived after 80 minutes and without bread; I had to get up to ask for attention because no one on the staff was looking at us. After our food, the dirty plates remained on the table for half an hour.
After another hour, the two main courses finally arrived, but we couldn't eat them right away: the silverware (which I had set aside precisely to avoid any problems) was taken away, and new ones arrived after 10 minutes, when the meat was already lukewarm. Furthermore, both the beef and pork fillets were overcooked and therefore very tough.
Chaos was everywhere: I even saw a woman at another table having to get up to go ask for silverware for dessert, as she too had forgotten hers. To finish, we ordered two liqueurs and a coffee at the counter, but with the staff rushing around, we had to wait another 10 minutes. We arrived at 8:50 PM and left at 11:30 PM for an appetizer and two main courses.

Despite our unreasonable delay, the owner and staff welcomed us with open arms and smiles. Rocco and the waitress were impeccable, the place is amazing, and the owner and his magical cuisine captivated us. It would have been a real shame if, because of our delay, we'd missed out on an experience like this, which earned us a top rating. Wonderful.

Excellent experience! Good quality meat, but the pizza was also a pleasant surprise. The appetizers were worth trying, along with a decent selection of wines and delicious desserts to round things off. A well-rounded restaurant where quality is a constant throughout the menu. Recommended!
