Cozy place, but very nice, clean and welcoming. We liked the style and especially the food! We will definitely be back for the grilled tortelli, really very good! The sauces paired with the dishes are also good, not to be taken for granted at all! Very kind, friendly and approachable staff. The idea of ​​providing a bandage and a "small emergency kit" for us women was appreciated. In short, a unique little place in a beautiful area of ​​Florence, with unusual but very good dishes! Delightful place along the Arno. I've been wanting to go there to try the tortelli for a long time! Never eaten before. The guys offer them in a "gourmet" version with original combinations. I had pumpkin, peanuts and peanut cream (vegan and super tasty), my boyfriend had herring and dill sour cream (I didn't try it because I hate herring but he says it was very balanced). Excellent quality ingredients. As a treat we also had the "bombette" of rigatino and chestnut polenta: incredibly good. They sent me back to a "carnivorous" version of gnudi! Selection of wines from small producers. The equipment was also taken care of! Fair price for location and quality. We will definitely be back!

Abbiamo avuto il piacere di pranzare in questo bistro. Si contraddistingue per l’ambiente familiare e intimo, il cibo e gli abbinamenti ricercati e azzeccati. I proprietari sono molto disponibili e alla mano. Super consigliato!

Da tempo volevo provare questo Bistrò, incuriosito dai peculiari piatti che vengono proposti periodicamente su internet. Quel che mi ha da sempre colpito è la variabilità del menù, con piatti nazionali ed internazionali rielaborati a seconda delle materie prime stagionali e locali disponibili e dell'estro del cuoco che li propone; si percepisce l'amore per la cucina e l'attenzione al cliente, sempre in cerca di qualcosa di nuovo e gustoso. Come Appetizer abbiamo ordinato le Sweet Fries, patate dolci guarnite con la squisita crema al formaggio Calisto e con erba cipollina fresca e gustosa, azzeccatissima come nota nel piatto. Abbiamo preso poi il loro cavallo di battaglia, il Tortello Casentinese alla Piastra, nella versione 1979/12 con Zucca Aromatizzata in Forno, Burro di Arachidi e Noccioline, anche questo con materie prime di qualità ma è stato il piatto che mi è piaciuto di meno; personalmente mi aspettavo un ripieno più sapido, forse perché abituato ai tortelli Mugellani, e trovo che mancasse qualcosa per dare uno "sprint" di gusto. Riguardo ai Panini ordinati, il Popl Burger ed il fuori menù Rudolph,niente da dire: la perfezione tra due fette di pane. Abbiamo assaggiato per primo il Rudolph, (Rosetta con gustoso Cotechino, croccante Rost di Patate, Edamer filante, Mayo al Rosmarino e Lenticchie alla Cipolla) ed ogni morso era una esplosione di gusto, tanto da far fremere le papille gustative. Dopo aver mangiato tale panino, mi sono approcciato al successivo quasi rassegnato al non poter provare eguale generosità di sapori ma mi sono dovuto ricredere al primo morso dato al Popl Burger (Bun con Burger di Baccalà e Ceci, panato nel Panko e fritto, poi glassato in Salsa Spicy, Spinacino, Mayo al Wasabi ed Erba Cipollina), una varietà di consistenze e gusti che spaziano tra il salato e l'agrodolce rendendo ogni boccone una esperienza a sé. Per concludere abbiamo preso un Lattaiolo, dolce tipico del Casentino e piatto forte del locale, ed il Calibrownie (Brownie di Farina di Castagne, Burro di Arachidi e Noccioline, Ganache, Sale Grosso); entrambi buoni ma sono rimasto particolarmente colpito dal Calibrownie, forse non tanto morbido ma una vera altalena di sapori, con quel tocco di Sale Grosso ad esaltare il tutto. Ottimo il servizio: la ragazza che ci ha serviti è stata perfetta nell'esporre i vari piatti e nel metterci a nostro agio intrattenendosi al tavolo per esporci i vari piatti e la storia del locale. Buono il rapporto qualità-quantità/prezzo, ancor più con la promozione sconto del 30% di cui abbiamo usufruito; una esperienza gastronomica da consigliare e sicuramente da ripetere.😋

Siamo stati a pranzo in questo piccolo e carino bistrot gestito da una coppia di ragazzi gentilissimi e simpaticissimi. Abbiamo gustato degli ottimi piatti particolari e sfiziosi. Promossi a pieni voti!

My husband and I just returned to our hotel after having dinner at Calistro. It was absolutely delicious! We were looking for something different after weeks of eating the typical Florentine beef and pasta, etc. This place did not disappoint! (It has vegan and gluten free options too.) The Tortelloni (a regional ravioli stuffed with mashed potatoes and topped with a choice of several different savory toppings) were excellent, and the special Pasticc was creamy with savory ham and peas. The best part, however, was the special Falaguit, a homemade falafel burrito. I can honestly say it was the best falafel wrap I have ever had! The vegan sauce was amazing! It was so good, that my husband and I ordered one to split, and then immediately ordered another. We are already talking about coming back to eat here next year! The husband and wife team that own this place were incredibly charming and welcoming. We can’t wait to visit Calistro again.
