The cappuccinos and pastries are always excellent. The staff is courteous and attentive. The atmosphere is quiet, very well-kept, clean, and welcoming. My regular stop on Sunday mornings.

I was pleasantly surprised by the pleasant, family-friendly atmosphere in this café, which is a real gem in the center of Ravenna and absolutely worth a try!

A very nice bar located next to the Church of San Rocco. Friendly staff and a good selection of sweet and savory treats. You can sit both inside and outside.

The lady was busy even though there weren't many people, and she was really not very friendly. I asked for two small squares of SACHER, saying SACHERINI, a nice way of indicating that they are small. She didn't understand, so I corrected myself by saying, two SACHER, pronouncing it in the German way, with a Z instead of an S, since I have Austrian origins. She made a face, then corrected me: ah, the Sacher, pronouncing it with an S. Then I told her that in Austria, where the cake was born, it is pronounced with a z. She replied that she is Italian and in Italy it is pronounced with an S. Now, I certainly wouldn't have pointed this out if she hadn't acted so smart-ass and pointed out that my pronunciation was wrong. It's like if an English person said COLGEIT, the correct pronunciation for COLGATE toothpaste, and was corrected for the wrong pronunciation. I really wonder, what kind of ignorance is that? If she were an open-minded person, she would have been happy to have learned something, or if not, she wouldn't have questioned a thing.
