We came in waiting to join some friends for dinner, a 66cl beer for two. The place was empty at the time and the gentleman present at that moment was extremely kind: he poured us beer into two glasses, served us some chips with a bit of parmesan and played some music in the background. For a total of €5 in total. A pre-meal of this type is a hundred thousand times better than many set aperitifs, of little substance and high total. Well done!
In recent months I have often found myself in this bar for a mid-morning snack with toast. The owner's son who prepared it for me is a really friendly and attentive guy, the raw material used for their toast is really tasty. I tried a simple toast with ham, fontina cheese and a touch of mayonnaise. Cost €5. Cooked to perfection, stringy, crunchy on the outside, soft and fragrant on the inside. Ask to be served already cut in two if you prefer. Around 10:30, I had a pleasant chat with this guy who studies at the Polytechnic and works helping his family. A smart guy because he is multifaceted and not a slacker victim of the aberrant boredom that ruins modern thinking heads. In his work he accepts suggestions if the service can be improved and is attentive to the customer's requests. Apart from the toast which I always eat with pleasure, sometimes going there just for that, even though I live somewhere else entirely, in this small but well-stocked bar, they also offer other dishes from lunch until late at night. There are also some outdoor tables, in the morning or after 7 pm via Manzoni is not ruined by traffic and you are very happy to be outside.
