I've always liked Mangini as a chic and historic venue, from the chandeliers to the furnishings, a grand location, and the Zena cake and Cadebosco aperitif are superb. My only complaint is that even though it's now mandatory and they've strengthened the requirement to pay by POS to further prevent tax evasion starting in 2025/2026, the owner only accepts cash. But if the tax authorities catch them, there'll be trouble... 🙄🙄🙄 I don't understand this slip in style!

Very popular place, nice atmosphere, although it's not my kind of bar, as the seating isn't particularly comfortable due to the small, low tables. Good quality, medium-high prices.

After a long day of walking, we stopped at this historic place where we chose several types of pastries and were welcomed by a very pleasant young lady who gave us recommendations! They were excellent. Then, we sat on the terrace, we enjoyed our pastries as well as our drinks. Indeed it may be a little more expensive than elsewhere. However, it is well worth the price.

A place full of history and charm, a Genoa institution.
We had all our breakfasts there for three days, so much did we enjoy the cappuccino, the veneer pastries, and the fresh orange juice. The service is attentive and efficient.
They don't take cards to pay, but you're warned upon entering and they explain why, if you take the time to read (and, you can understand why!).
It's a shame for those who won't discover this establishment because of the complainers who want to pay for everything by card.

FABULOUS pastry shop! Excellent, delicious pastries. The owners' stance on "NO POS" remains ABSURD...but it's also ABSURD to charge €3 per person for table service (basically the cost of breakfast!).
