A place full of history and charm, a Genoa institution.
We had all our breakfasts there for three days, so much did we enjoy the cappuccino, the veneer pastries, and the fresh orange juice. The service is attentive and efficient.
They don't take cards to pay, but you're warned upon entering and they explain why, if you take the time to read (and, you can understand why!).
It's a shame for those who won't discover this establishment because of the complainers who want to pay for everything by card.

FABULOUS pastry shop! Excellent, delicious pastries. The owners' stance on "NO POS" remains ABSURD...but it's also ABSURD to charge €3 per person for table service (basically the cost of breakfast!).

Very nice interior of the cafe, elegant decor and furniture, waiters in white shirts, and at the same time there is a normal atmosphere here, without pompousness. You can drink coffee directly at the counter or at a table with waiter service. There are also many tables outside. Very good coffee. The bill is paid to the cashier sitting behind the counter when leaving the premises. Payment only in cash, as reminded by numerous stickers on the tables. Therefore, the rating was lowered for the inability to pay by card.

Un bellissimo posto a Genova, dove sembra vivere un'atmosfera ormai perduta in questo mondo sempre più volgare e frenetico. L'ambiente è veramente di classe e l'offerta di caffè, tè e pasticceria ottima; i prezzi, logicamente, non sono popolari. Siamo anche favorevoli alla loro decisione di accettare solo contanti, molti altri dovrebbero seguire l'esempio.
