A nice place to go with friends. All good, we had some phenomenal babas. The only thing I didn't like was the waiter "the young one" who complained to us all the time that it was late and didn't say it explicitly but made us understand that it was our fault and that of other customers. he couldn't dismount to go home, it's not done 😒

We ordered an aperitif last night, not only did the price increase but they brought ugly, squalid things. I'm sorry. I went this summer. Things were better and the price started at €15. We paid €18 per person without eating anything.

My partner and I had breakfast at Bar Diaz before leaving my beloved Catania again, and it was the perfect way to end our stay. The breakfast was excellent, with a variety of fresh, quality products, from impeccable coffee to delicious desserts. The atmosphere of the place is welcoming, and the service is quick and kind, making us immediately feel at home. I recommend Bar Diaz to anyone who wants to start the day with a tasty breakfast and great coffee!

Kind and courteous staff, their granitas are truly delicious, together with the brioches with tuppo, always soft and freshly baked, they are the perfect Sicilian breakfast. The pistachio one is among the best

01/01/2025: We chose this place for New Year's Eve because it is very close to Piazza Duomo where the concert was held. Apparently à la carte menu, but the maitre'd insisted on making two mixes of starters and first courses for all 6 of us. Result? portions less than halved and full cost calculated as if they were individual dishes... Mediocre quality, definitely nothing special... Finally, one of the owners was decidedly not very courteous and professional. After asking us if everything had gone well, when we were perplexed by the bill which was decidedly not commensurate with what we were served, he replied that the important thing was that it was good and that obviously the bill it was correct.... Much to learn in terms of professionalism and education...

25/01/2025: prima di tutto parliamo di una trattoria, quindi le aspettative non possono essere da ristorante stellato. ho letto molte recensioni negative sul servizio che ritengo di dover categoricamente smentire. cibo ottimo, prezzo nella media. taci fronte mare in contesto di rara bellezza. in sintesi il titolare probabilmente non ha molti amici, ma le recensioni sono assolutamente esagerate se non inattendibili, alcune addirittura ridicole.
01/01/2025: very pleasant surprise! we passed by it by chance; even though the tables were almost all full and we hadn't booked, the owner immediately found us a seat. We had seafood appetizers and catch of the day, all very fresh and prepared in a simple but perfect way. Good local wine. Fast and friendly service. Correct prices. We will return.
