Guys, the restaurant at the Caffè degli Specchi has reopened. Today I had lunch with friends and I was extremely satisfied. New management, new Chef, new excellent dishes!!!!!
I ate the delicious focaccia with sardenaira, tasty, then an excellent pasta with fish carbonara, mouth-watering!!!! Then I tasted the stuffed anchovies.... Amazing!!!! with prescinsea and prebuggiun, never eaten like this. All washed down with an excellent red wine, I concluded with a mouth-watering panna cotta with medlar compote. Well done young and well-prepared guys, a breath of innovation in a historic venue. I'll be back soon.

I went for lunch today. And starting from the place, which is right in the heart of Genoa, a stone's throw from Piazza De Ferrari, with a welcoming environment and friendly staff. As an appetizer, the very particular autumn panissa salad, I was surprised by the very soft chestnuts that were with the salad, then came the Baciocca Cake which, oh my, was finger licking, then the fried anchovies also arrived filled with prescinsea, no joke there either! A wonderful dish, like the second course was the roasted cuttlefish with Judean-style artichokes, which was very soft with the artichokes which were spectacular! All accompanied with Peparino, a Pinot Noir wine with a particular flavor that paired very well with the chosen dishes. For dessert I chose the panna cotta with Germanic medlar made by the Chef!!! A newly opened restaurant, in a place known to all Zeinesi, which offers innovative dishes, with a Genoese touch. It is a place to absolutely return to try all the other dishes!!! Great Chef Gabriele!!!!!
Lunch with friends, we tasted several dishes, all excellent. I ate autumn panissa salad with chestnuts and vegetables, original and tasty. Then I tasted the Baciocca Cake which I recommend to everyone, on the palate it releases a combination of soft flavors with a crunchy, fragrant base, I could eat tons of them!!!!! The place is welcoming and the staff are all friendly and knowledgeable. Excellent wine. Overall, a pleasant lunch, I will return soon to enjoy other delicacies.
