Café HB 1969 In Genova

We had dinner this evening and had two salads. We didn't eat anything complex, so I can't review the food, but the staff who served us was friendly. I initially ordered cima genovese, but they later told me they were out of stock. This information should generally be provided in advance when making a reservation, as we might be tourists and come to try this Genoese specialty. I understand the difficulty of getting real-time updates from the kitchen without connected PDAs. For me, however, it wasn't a major problem. I've read many negative reviews and respect them, because everyone's experience may be different. Mine, though simple, was quite positive, and I thank them for that. It was my last evening in Genoa, and I had a great time. I should also add that I had tried the focaccia made by the restaurant next door, which I believe is the same. We had a great time there too. A stone's throw from the train station, clean environment with leather sofas inside, quality Illy coffee, delicious brioche and focaccia, worth trying

We stayed near HB Café in May 2026, tried the breakfast, and ended up returning for other meals. Everything was prepared with high quality and speed, the menu is varied and caters well to any meal of the day! Genoa is beautiful and HBcafé welcomes tourists very well!

Next to each other is a bar, bakery and shop and also an ice cream parlor. We stopped for a quick coffee, a beer and an Aperol. The kids had ice cream and we were tempted by some kind of savory pie with pesto and cheese. Everything was delicious, especially the pie, which I don't know what it was called. We will come back next time.
