The restaurant to go to when you're in Ravenna. They have specialties from Emilia-Romagna, all at quite reasonable prices, in beautiful, tastefully decorated rooms. Of course, the food...delicious, typical, and generous portions. One plate of Storzzapretti al ragù was enough for me, but for €6 more you can easily fill up on their cheeses, desserts, and side dishes. The service is very quick and helpful; I recommend booking a table before you go.

The cappelletti with ragù and crescione are truly superb! The atmosphere is beautiful, where history accompanies you as you enjoy the dish.

I loved eating in a medieval, 15th-century setting; we enjoyed classic piadinas and a good wine. It was definitely quite a spectacle.

The restaurant has a great atmosphere inside and the food is okay, but absolutely do not expect an authentic Italian dining experience. The business is focused on generating revenue, the service feels rushed, and everything lacks attention and love, as you often find at good, smaller ristorantes in Italy. Do you want to eat a fine pasta quickly and easily accompanied by cheap wine? Then this is the place for you. Do you expect more from a good Italian restaurant? Then keep looking. Side note: you don't need to go here for the price either. For the same price (or less), you can get better food, better wine, and a better experience elsewhere.

I was recommended to dine at Ca' de Vèn, and I'm so glad I did. I don't speak any Italian and wasn't familiar with restaurant customs in Ravenna, so I waited by the front door for a few minutes. When no one came over, I walked up to the counter myself and was led to a table from there. The setting and ambiance were great. My server was all business, no nonsense, which I appreciated. I tried ordering in my baby Italian, and she confirmed everything back in English. The food was tasty, and it was quite a scene watching the servers move nonstop as the place filled up. There were plenty of tourists, but the food still felt authentic. I'll definitely be back if I visit Ravenna again.

What a fantastic place! One of the best experiences we've had in Italy, for sure. The interior is beautiful, a unique space full of history. The food was wonderful, traditional Romagna cuisine. The wine selection is huge, there's something for every taste and budget. We're here in the city for a few days and we're thinking of coming back every day 😁
