I bought fresh mussels to cook back at our apartment for 5 euros a kilo. Shellfish here is very expensive

We went to this restaurant to eat fish, the various dishes lived up to our expectations! The octopus was cooked to perfection… the fish couscous too! The owner Gabriele was very welcoming and friendly! I recommend this restaurant🥰

Super nice place. The Busiate al pesto Trapanese was a dream! The swordfish was delicious. The service was very friendly. Nice place with soft music. We would come back. Highly recommended.

It's a real pleasure to stop by here, especially in the off-season. Starting with a bottle of 2024 Lumera Rosé wine for just €21, great importance is placed on providing competent advice to guests. Even without much knowledge of Italian, you can use the photos on TripAdvisor to show what you want, and the waiter in the restaurant, who speaks good English, will help you wherever he can. I particularly liked the combination of tuna as a starter, which included all variations of tuna as well as two pieces of swordfish and anchovies. For €18, it was definitely a great selection. My wife's red prawn carpaccio was a bit on the small side in comparison. The main course was grilled octopus, also very tender and well-prepared. All in all, highly recommended; a really good choice in the area.

We had the Tagliere della tonnara as a starter and it tasted very good. The spritz was also very good.

A warm welcome and sumptuous food awaits you at Buenavida Sicililiana. Patrons should be advised that the owner, Riccardo, an incredibly handsome and well preserved man of only 43 years of age, runs two restaurants and they are next door but one to each other. The pizzeria is at Via Dogana 26 and the restaurant itself (the subject of this review) is at #14 on the same street. We almost missed the experience here as #26 was closed and we nearly missed the establishment a few yards down the road. The food was wonderful and reasonably priced, the service friendly and attentive. Nothing was too much trouble for Riccardo to translate any parts of the menu into English if Google failed. The house red wine at 21 or 23 Euros per bottle was amongst the best we’ve ever had in Italy, over several visits across the years. An overall excellent experience with an amicable and amusing proprietor- his sense of humour and our conversation with his lovely wife made the evening exceptionally pleasant. 10/10 - highly recommended.
