This place was recommended via our hotel and it did not disappoint. Great Tuscan food with fantastic service and atmosphere. We enjoyed it so much we came back a second time during our trip. I would highly recommend the pappardelle with wild boar ragu.

From entering to leaving it was a joy to be part of this Family run restaurant if only for a while. Food excellent, staff attentive, and had time for you, a place not to be missed, but you must book in advance.

The most WHOLESOME experience you can have in a restaurant in Florence! Just make sure you get a reservation in advance. We have the bistecca alla fiorentina (medium done) and it was absolutely lip-smacking! We also had the lasagne and it was right there, in the list of top 3 lasagnas I’ve had in my life. It’ll be criminal if you missed eating at Buca Mario!

We ordered 3 pastas and honestly best food we’ve ever had! Never in my life have I tasted pasta this delicious! The service was superb from start to finish, they were all friendly and helpful and so lovely! I don’t leave reviews usually, but I had to this time! (We ordered burrata salad, home made lasagna, Taglierini with butter & truffle, and the spinach and ricotta cheese pasta)

Una garanzia. Ci vado sin da quando ero piccolo perchè piaceva molto a mia madre. Piatti ottimi. Pieno di turisti come tutti i locali di Firenze ma qui sono riusciti a mantenere un'ottima qualità. Personale super professionale e bravissimo. Proprietari gentilissimi. Prezzi.....beh a Firenze non regala niente a nessuno ma almeno qui sai che mangi bene. Per darvi un'idea l'altra sera Filetto ai ferri eccellente e bello grande, patate al forno, acqua e caffè 50 euro. Corretto!!!
