Went here with my husband when we visited Florence. Best food, service and overall experience I’ve ever had at any restaurant. I can’t recommend this place enough!

They open at 19:00 on Monday. Without a reservation, we arrived at 18:45 and were ahead of two groups (one with a reservation, one without).
We managed to snag one of the last two tables for four.
Because our order didn't include an appetizer or first course, the wait for our food was quite long.
(The waiter seemed very nervous, as the table was practically empty except for wine and bread...) The vinegar served with the bread was delicious.
Overall, the meal was good (but we didn't order the T-bone steak, as it was too big, although the sliced beef was the best I had in Italy this time).
Unfortunately, we ordered the wrong thing – the large asparagus. (I saw others with huge asparagus).
Speaking of which, upon entering, the waiters and manager seemed very serious and had sour faces.
After sitting for a while, I realized that Italians are like that; you have to spend a little time with them before they'll show you a lot of different expressions. Even if your English is terrible, it's okay; they're actually very nice and will patiently ask you questions.

Dropped in without a reservation, not recommended.
They were very busy. The atmosphere was fantastic the vibe was excellent.
After a 15 minute wait (not bad) we were seated. After another 10 or so our menus arrived.
We went ahead and ordered. Bread was delivered to our table.
She had seafood pasta: as good as anywhere else.
I had grandma’s lasagna: wort the visit!
Side note: in hindsight probably should have had the steak. It looked excellent!)
We got our food before our wine and halfway through the meal olive oil was brought to the table.
I’ll assume that this is a place where the locals like to go and feel gracious that we were able to be seated after a short wait.

I recommend making reservations and trying the lasagna and preparing yourself for the €5/p cover charge.

Fantastic dinner! The Fiorentina steak was excellent, but the real highlight was the service. The waiter, Aldo, was incredibly kind: with a smile and a hint of song, he made us feel right at home.
To top it off, the desserts (tiramisu and chocolate cake) were amazing, with that authentic, genuine flavor of homemade cakes. An experience we absolutely must repeat!

Aldo was amazing. Food was great. Loved it
Food was good but not the best we’ve had in Florence. The lasagna is a bit overhyped. Don’t get me wrong.. it was good but not as amazing as all of the reviews say. We got the fried artichoke which was a good side. My husband got the florentine steak and really enjoyed it. The meal was extremely expensive. We ate better food for a lot cheaper. The service was wonderful.
