Buca Mario In Firenze

Very good pizzas and nice atmosphere.

We had a party of 10 in a private room. One waiter took are of us the entire time and he was amazing (I wish I had his name). The food was also pretty good. For appetizers, we had the fired vegetables and procuitto with mozzarella. For the mains, we liked the lasagna and the spaghetti with meat sauce. My spinach ravioli was good but came out cold. And the 2 people who ordered the steak florentine medium rare had to send it back to be cooked more. The tiramisu and strawberries with whipped cream were both good as well. Overall, a good experience and I would eat there again.

I read about how this was a great place for Flourintine Steak, but needed a reservation. We tried a couple of other places, but they were closed, so we asked in about Buca Mario. The host said he may be able to get us in to wait about 10 minutes. And in 8.... we were seated. I was very surprised!! The waiter was kind and funny, but a bit over booked, so we waited on him a bit. Husband ordered Flourintine Steak and it was more under-cooked than he liked but tasted pretty good! Daughter and I shared lamb chops, and they were pretty good. We also ordered a cheese appetizer, which was really good. Then, of course, we ordered dessert from the trolley. Tiramisu, strawberries and cream, and carmel creme.... all were pretty amazing!!

Very nice and yummy restaurant with a Italian flair! Really loved the service and had a great time. Definitely not cheap and definitely delicious!

Great place! Well-trained and friendly staff. Delicious food. I was very well attended by Tomás, and the owners were present, making sure everyone was being well taken care of. Highly recommend!

Guys, what a fantastic experience at Buca Mario!!! Nicola (who is called by his last name because there are too many Nicolas) made our experience, not only at Buca Mario, but in Florence in general, one to remember forever! The food was delicious; I recommend the crostini with stracciatella as an appetizer and the pasta with truffle as a main course because it's worth it and you can easily share it if you're a couple. And especially the desserts, like the flourless chocolate cake, are not to be missed, which is hard to find anymore. But the best thing was the service. Nicola was extremely attentive throughout the entire dinner, friendly, professional, and helped us choose the best dishes for what we wanted, always with a big smile and insight! You don't see people like him every day, hold on to him! Together with Frank, they made sure my boyfriend and I will always remember this place :) Thanks to the restaurant and the guys, and I hope to return soon!

Amazing family dinner in their VIP room. Nick was the best server ever! Food excellent, ambiance excellent. Expensive but worth every penny. The steak for 3 is ENORMOUS!!! It will easily feed twice that or more.

We went here for dinner one night, we got the steak and lasagne. It was the best steak and lasagne we have ever had. I would highly recommend this place to anyone! We will be back during our next travel.

Buco Mario es un restaurante FENOMENAL. Fuimos bendecidos de tener a nuestro camarero llamado Nando esperándonos. Esta fue nuestra primera vez en Buco Mario y fue un 10/10 fácil. Todo, desde la comida hasta el ambiente era increíblemente agradable. El personal de camarera te hacía sentir como en casa e incluso aligeraba el ánimo con sus propias palabras de sabiduría o bromas. Pedí el filete florentino y pasta de trufa que en realidad era irreal. Ojalá tuviera el apetito de comer todo lo que hay en el menú proporcionado, porque lo haría. Recomendaría conseguir una reserva si lo que busca es visitar el fin de semana ya que se pone bastante ocupado, merecidamente. Fácil 10 / 10.
