Buca Mario In Firenze

Buca Mario was nothing short of amazing. The atmosphere, service, and food were awesome. We were greeted at the door, Acknowledging my birthday. They sang birthday to me, lit a candle on top of a huge fake birthday cake, then allowed me to choose desert of my choice for my birthday. Our servant was the best.

Touristy they try to make you tip extra but food is great! A bit of a wait

Fantastic traditional Italian restaurant. The vibes are incredible and the food and service fantastic.

We were recently in Firenze and our first driver suggested this ristorante and we were lucky on our first night to get in during the second seating from 9pm. Amazing food and wine, awesome service, and an amazing desserts trolly. We were served by Nicholas who was great. This is a must visit ristorante if you can get in.

When you first walk into the restaurant, it’s clear that this is more of an institution than an eatery. The cash register and first table were occupied by multiple generations of the family that own and operate this gem. Service is truly outstanding, especially compared with the typical service in Italian restaurants. Wait staff are attentive, proactive, and establish a rapport with those sitting at each table. Great wine selection, with half bottles being offered as well. The food is exceptional, not inventive, but superb execution of classic Italian dishes. You will pay a premium for this, of course, but it’s definitely worth the extra cost. Still, I would consider this good value for money. Worth the hype.

This was the BEST food I’ve ever had!! The service was amazing, Franco helped us and he made the experience great! You have to get reservations before hand. We shared the steak (only seared, raw) with a side of roasted potatoes. I don’t like lasagna but I’d have theirs for every meal. IT WAS SO PERFECT. We got the tiramisu and cream cake for dessert. Great vibes. Make sure to get in line early even with a reservation! Definitely going back!

Sensacional. Comida, atendimento, carta de vinhos. O garçom Federico que nos atendeu foi extremamente gentil e prestativo, a carta de vinhos tem ótimas opções de vinhos italianos, a comida é divina, preços honestos para a qualidade da comida!

Came here for dinner on Christmas Eve. Requested a table in the front room. Had high expectations for both the quality of the food and the friendliness of the service. Arrived at 9:30PM and were immediately recognized and seated at a corner table in the front room. Our server was Nicola and he was happy and consistently professional all evening. The staff was in good spirits for Christmas Eve. We ordered the Cappellacci Burro and the Taglierini Tartufo as our primes. Since we typically share, we both agreed that both were wonderful. For secondi, we had the Filetto Griglia and Filetto Pepe Verde. Meat was cooked perfectly to a medium rare as ordered. Wonderful Italian Beef ! We had a contorni of Fagioli. Who would have thought that beans with some olive oil and black pepper could taste so good. We finished with some Tiramisu and passito. Nicely sweet to finish the meal. Overall a wonderfull dinner with excellent and friendly service.
