Buatta is a place of interpretation. The close proximity of the tables, the intimate and even romantic atmosphere, are what make it a unique place. The decor is eclectic and interesting (a special note goes to the restrooms), the staff is kind, competent, and empathetic. How's the food? Excellent! Tasty and dry fried dishes, an onion frittata and a cod croquette worthy of special mention. Then, simple and elegant plating: a Genovese with an exceptional aroma and a cod parmigiana, unusual and delicious. I'm only giving it four stars because I couldn't try any desserts due to my nut intolerance, but my companion tried a black cherry cookie that he found remarkable. I hope the dessert selection matches mine next time, because we'll definitely be back.

The staff were friendly and helpful. We ordered a Mozzarella in carrozza (freshly prepared and not reheated), a scarpariello (recommended), and candele al ragù. The place is intimate, reasonably priced, and located in the heart of Vomero. We'll definitely be back.

In Vomero, there's a place that exudes authentic Naples and welcomes you like a true home: Buatta Trattoria di Conversazione. It's not just a trattoria, but a place where time seems to slow down, giving way to flavor, conversation, and the conviviality that makes Neapolitan tradition unique.
The restaurant is meticulously crafted, with a warm, family atmosphere that instantly makes you feel at ease. The staff is smiling, attentive, and ready to offer advice, without ever being intrusive: a service that complements the experience, making it even more enjoyable.
I had the opportunity to sample several dishes, and each one won me over with its freshness, balance, and respect for tradition:
• Battered zucchini flowers: light, crispy, and never greasy, perfectly fried, preserving the delicate flavor of the flowers.
• Eggplant parmigiana: a true ode to Neapolitan style. Soft, well-blended layers, with a fragrant sauce and melting cheese that made it irresistible.
• Meatballs in tomato sauce: flavorful and juicy, served in a rich, velvety sauce reminiscent of family Sundays.
• Fried anchovies: fragrant and golden, perfectly dry, with that pure, clean seafood flavor that only expertly fried can deliver.
• Tiramisu: soft, creamy, and enveloping, with just the right balance of coffee and cream, a sweet ending to an already perfect dinner.
All this is accompanied by an atmosphere that truly encourages "conversation," just as the restaurant's name suggests: people come here not just to eat well, but to enjoy a convivial experience that will last a lifetime.
Ultimately, Buatta is the ideal place for those seeking authenticity, genuine flavors, and a sincere welcome. A trattoria that honors Naples and its culinary tradition. I will definitely return, because experiences like this deserve to be relived many times.

Neither good nor bad.
A small restaurant located on a side street off Via Bernini. Average food, decent service. What left me speechless was seeing that the tablecloths, despite being visibly stained, are turned over and over but not replaced. As for the wine list, it lists prices different from what you'll be charged.

AMAZING place!
All the food is locally sourced.
But even more surprising is the wine cellar: all from Campania. And they include rare and uncommercial wines.
The atmosphere is intimate and friendly. Refined, yet familiar.
Traditional and gourmet.
In short, I don't know how they manage to blend all these souls, but they do.
Just one word: AMAZING!
