In love with this place, the best I've been to in Italy and I adore the boss.

Small, well-furnished and welcoming place, with tables very close to each other in an alley in the Vomero neighborhood. Traditional Neapolitan food of average quality and in small quantities, rather expensive. Staff not very polite. We had happily ordered some traditionally made graffe with potatoes. However, they were raw and we pointed this out to the waitress who, having entered the kitchen, mocked us by saying that we had said they were raw and pointing out loudly that at the next table they had actually been eaten. Rather than bring a new portion on her own initiative to correct the mistake, she still shouted from the kitchen asking us if we wanted more. Really little hospitality. Personally, I will not return.

I read the Gambero Rosso reviews and booked this place, in Vomero, which I had never seen. Very nice atmosphere, attention to detail, the service is mainly taken care of by women, the kitchen is almost visible (it has the doors open) the mise en place good, very clean glasses. The originality of Buatta is its suaglass... original buatta of preserves used to keep the wine fresh 😄. We tasted excellent cod cooked in different ways, accompanied by revisited and grilled vegetables that were truly excellent, good wine, house wine, but expensive (€25.00). The price is slightly high for this type of dish. Next time you have to try the Genovese, they say it is scary. I didn't give 5 stars because we were placed near the kitchen which had the doors open so the smell of the food remained on our heads. Damn... but all in all, we liked it, there were four of us.

Delicious food, especially the spaghetti with anchovies and lemon. The staff is very friendly!

We had dinner at the Buatta after asking two different locals on the street who recommended that place. The second one even walked us to the restaurant while entertaining the conversation with our approximate Italian. They went inside before us to ensure we would have a table, even without a reservation! The primi pasta and secondi polpette were absolutely fantastic along with a good selection wines and dolci (we really like our cheesecakes). If you are looking for an authentic experience in a place that doesn't specifically seem to target tourists, and are flexible (some meals may not be available every evening, and the waiter will let you know from the start), this trattoria is definitely worth your consideration!

Conversation restaurant run by women only. I've always been going there and the cuisine is excellent, they offer traditional Neapolitan dishes and their must is Somma Vesuviana cod. The furnishings are a gem, very nice and very welcoming. Advise

The first and second courses with cod were excellent but the aubergine parmigiana was mediocre and the mozzarella in carrozza was terrible. Sin. Excellent white wine (I don't remember the name of the winery but it is the one bottled specifically for them)
