First of all: I've never written a Google review before... but now: We participated in the tasting a week ago. It was fantastic! Lots of great information about the distilling process. Afterwards, we had the tasting, with valuable tips from the owner, but nothing was predetermined. We were able to try everything, some of it chilled for comparison. Fresh glasses were always available! Water was always available, of course. Excellent chocolate was also offered to neutralize the alcohol. Overall, it was a fantastic atmosphere and more than worth the money. By the way: Not only grappa, but also many excellent fruit brandies, etc. The boss and master distiller, Jochen, is always available to answer questions and, above all, answer questions!

A superb distillery. We discovered it two years ago and went there every day. We'll be back in 2025 and will be there every day. The most authentic hosts there are. We keep coming back.

Good advice, tried a lot... 👍 It's not exactly cheap (a 0.35 l bottle of Obstler costs €26), but good craftsmanship costs...

It was a really nice visit to the Wezl distillery. We received a warm welcome and very comprehensive and friendly service. The atmosphere here is honest and down-to-earth. The products are top-notch, and the selection of fruit brandies and grappa is extensive. Otherwise, you can also just enjoy a Prosecco or espresso here. We'll definitely be back at the next opportunity.

We had a tasting of chocolate and fine spirits, along with a brief theoretical introduction to the art of distilling. The owners were super friendly, humorous, and personable. A visit there is highly recommended. It's just a shame that some fellow tasters overdid it when tasting on their own and filled their glasses too much.

DAS Mondschein Aktiv&Wohlfühlhotel

05/10/2025: We were spontaneously rebooked into this hotel after needing a last-minute overnight stay on our return journey. Luckily for us, it was a 4-star hotel. Both inside and out, the hotel impressed us with a perfect blend of comfort and warmth, as well as modernity and cleanliness. We were given a cute room with three beds, all of which were perfectly located. Early in the morning, we were even allowed to use the spa area on the first floor, which was truly fantastic. I have never seen such a beautifully designed area. Someone had really put a lot of thought into it. We received a warmer welcome at breakfast than we have ever received. The staff member acted more like a friend and knew all the guests by name. We felt wonderfully well looked after and were treated with healthy drinks, Bavarian sausages, and great attention. There is a huge selection: gluten-free products, oat milk and lactose-free milk, five different juices, eggs boiled for 5, 7, or 10 minutes, or scrambled. Everyone received a sheet with the latest information on the program, weather, news... We were absolutely thrilled. A very inviting, luxurious hotel, which is definitely a great place to stay in winter, especially when combined with skiing. We also really enjoyed the beautiful view of the surrounding forest! Parking was also available directly at the hotel :)

11/12/2025: 🎄Best RAISIN AND CANDIED ORANGE PANETTONE❄️ Commercial, traditional panettone... this one beats them all. Not the usual heavy, compact dough we're used to, but airy and soft. The aroma and texture make it so light you'd be happy to eat more. The ingredients are balanced because the toppings aren't overpowering and you can savor their full quality. You can sense the chef's experience and skill even if you don't know him. Especially recommended if you're looking for a gift. The packaging doesn't do the product justice. Personally, tasting the butter in the scarparura gives this panettone a special edge.
