Break Bar In Piacenza

This was one of the best experiences and interactions we had while cycle touring through Piacenza. We stopped at Breakbar for a quick caffè in the afternoon and Fabio and his wife were very warm and accommodating. We started talking to Fabio about our cycling trip and he was tremendously helpful and provided us with ideas for where to go. It turned out he was also an avid cyclist! He made an amazing aperol spritz and prepared us snacks while we waiting for the random hail/rain to subside that afternoon. We were very grateful to have met him! We really appreciate his hospitality.

Break Bar, in the sense that it's the perfect place for a break, whether long or short. Located on a street perpendicular to Via XX Settembre, it's very convenient for a stop in the city center. Despite its simplicity, there's a pleasant atmosphere both inside and outside. The owners were incredibly kind, delicious from start to finish, and the croissants were excellent, considering they're bar products. I've never found good mini-cornetti, but after this experience, I had to change my mind. The coffee was also delicious, although I prefer it more full-bodied. I don't usually find the Hag brand around. What a great find, really.
