There are plenty of places to get gelato in Sorrento but my favorite was Bougajnvillea. There are an overwhelming amount of options and flavors but the staff is kind and patient and happy to give a recommendation if needed. I went for the Dubai Chocolate and was hooked. Rich and chocolaty with a ribbon of pistachio cream and crunchy pistachio pieces. I still dream about it. There is both seating inside and out. Prices are reasonable and you get a good sized scoop. Highly recommend!

Cute place to stop for a refreshing beer or ice cream and gelato. Unfortunately at dinner you cannot only order from the dessert menu and eat outside. So if you want to eat on the patio, go for lunch/dinner!

Absolutely the best gelato in Sorrento with the friendliest and best staff as well! Don’t go anywhere else the choice of flavours and the quality is the best in town, we went there after lunch and dinner every day instead of having desserts in the restaurants, this place is a must visit 😁

We had a great experience at Bougainvillea in Sorrento! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. While most people stop by for their delicious gelato (which absolutely lives up to the hype!), we were pleasantly surprised by how extensive their full menu is — it's also a proper pizzeria with plenty of great options to choose from. Prices are very reasonable, especially for the quality and location. A lovely spot to relax and enjoy a meal or a sweet treat. Just note that they’re closed on Wednesdays!

31/10/2025: I go there often and I have to say the pizza is delicious. They have a wide selection of pizzas, including gourmet ones, all excellent. The fried foods are exquisite, and they have a great selection of wines and beers. There's an indoor bar, but not to the public, and they make excellent drinks; the section is well-stocked. The desserts are also delicious. Reservations are recommended, otherwise you'll either be stuck for a table or have to wait for them to become available. Ample parking is available.
29/09/2025: The food was okay, but we waited forever, and the value for money wasn't right (€65 for two pizzas, two glasses of wine, and an appetizer). The service was slow and unfriendly. Overall, we didn't feel comfortable and wouldn't go back.

12/10/2025: Relaxing and trendy vibe. Ideal outdoor seating during sunny October weather! Very tasty sea breem! Yummy tuna on coucus! Recommend fries with their special tangy ranch sauce.
