Bougainvillea In Sorrento

While visiting the Amalfi coast we found Bougainvillea! We stopped in one evening to try the best FRESH gelato we have ever had. We came back the next day for delicious pizza and an ice cold Coke Zero. The staff is incredibly friendly and the location was perfect to take in all of the people strolling through beautiful Sorrento. BUT the best part of our trip was our gelato making class! From the rich history this family has and the love they pour into all that they do to laughing as we tried our hand at making two gelato flavors. It was an incredible experience! While you are there, ask at the counter about the gelato making class with Teresa! She is wonderful and fun and all of the things that make Bougainvillea a must stop when visiting Sorrento.

There are plenty of places to get gelato in Sorrento but my favorite was Bougajnvillea. There are an overwhelming amount of options and flavors but the staff is kind and patient and happy to give a recommendation if needed. I went for the Dubai Chocolate and was hooked. Rich and chocolaty with a ribbon of pistachio cream and crunchy pistachio pieces. I still dream about it. There is both seating inside and out. Prices are reasonable and you get a good sized scoop. Highly recommend!

Cute place to stop for a refreshing beer or ice cream and gelato. Unfortunately at dinner you cannot only order from the dessert menu and eat outside. So if you want to eat on the patio, go for lunch/dinner!

Absolutely the best gelato in Sorrento with the friendliest and best staff as well! Don’t go anywhere else the choice of flavours and the quality is the best in town, we went there after lunch and dinner every day instead of having desserts in the restaurants, this place is a must visit 😁
