This is a really beautiful place, right in the center of the main square of San Vito, since 1895. It must mean something. The style is very elegant and skillfully mixes ancient and modern elements, creating a truly welcoming and pleasant mix. There are various environments and it is both a bar and a place where you can consume excellent snacks, but also a grill that serves the largest and most succulent steaks. I went there a couple of times for an aperitif with crostini, I recommend two: raw ham and mascarpone and the one with cooked ham and horseradish, really excellent. I have to go back for the steak. Quick, kind and smiling service, average prices for a nice place in the center.

Historic place in the square of San Vito. High-level cellar, cocktails and canapés served with professionalism and quality. The restaurant has an excellent variety of meats, expertly explained by the staff. I highly recommend

Ristorante piccolo ma carino, nelle immediate vicinanze della bella piazza a San Vito al Tagliamento… scoperto per caso ma super soddisfatti per tutto: Servizio impeccabile, cibo e materie prime da leccarsi i baffi… prezzo giusto… ampia varietà di vini… insomma serata perfetta. Consigliato.

Nice environment, attention to detail. Friendly and competent staff. We ate spectacular meat, 2 ribs, one from Finland and one from Spain, truly amazing, even the high quality tartare! Wide choice of quality wines to accompany the meats. Well done!

Da fuori sembra un bel bar di paese, ed in effetti lo è, sempre aperto con la sua attività di caffetteria, snack dolci e salati, aperitivi ed enoteca, con tavoli all’interno e all’esterno, sotto i portici e nella piazza principale del paese. In realtà però è anche un ristorante, con due sale d’atmosfera, moderne ma che non tradiscono l’ambientazione caratteristica della taverna. Il menu è ristretto e questo è il principale appunto che mi sento di fare. Tuttavia offre delle proposte non scontate e originali. Io provo ad esempio il midollo bovino che è principalmente uno ‘sfizio’ visto che certamente non sfama, e che probabilmente dovrebbe costare un po’ di meno (o magari essere accompagnato da qualche ingrediente abbinato, ad esempio un contorno?!) (12 euro). A seguire scelgo agnello french rack buono e ben presentato, ma anche questo in porzione minimalista (18 euro). Con il coperto ‘sera’ a 3 euro (caro, per il tipo di locale e di paese, a mio avviso anche se hanno la ‘cortesia’ di servirti un piccolo antipasto di benvenuto) e un calice di Cabernet (3 euro) spendo in totale 36 euro. In sostanza tanto per aver mangiato poco, ma la raffinatezza del resto va pagata. Consigliato se sei alla ricerca di una esperienza ‘diversa’.
