We went for Sunday lunch a while ago. Very quiet and clean place, friendly staff with genuine cuisine. Perhaps the prices are in line with the central area or a little higher. However highly recommended

It's always a good idea to have an aperitif at De Santis. Very good cocktails, the platter is also good, but the fried chicken are absolutely my favourite.

There can be no excuses. A good coffee must be accompanied by spectacular and super-filled croissants. I sit at the table and help myself with the filling with a teaspoon. The ones with pistachio cream are special. Try them and then tell me

We were lucky, you actually have to pre-order a giant cornetto, but the lady said she would ask for us if there were enough to add to the orders we already had. It's not cheap, but there's no saving on filling here. You can choose up to three, but the price is ok. Since it was impossible to do it with two people, we packed it and took it with us.

Per un pranzo domenicale con amici abbiamo celti la bottega De Santis, storica in zona. Come antipasto abbiamo scelto un grande tagliere misto di degustazione con affettati, formaggi, mozzarelle di bufala, humus di ceci e trippa, accompagnato dalla caponatina di melanzane alla Bottega, davvero una specialità della casa eccellente! Ottimo il baccalà tiepido con olive taggiasche, patate e cipolla rossa caramellata. Molto buoni anche gli involtini alla romana presi dagli altri commensali Il servizio è stato molto accogliente, gentile e attento. Consigliato!

Più di così non si può chiedere! 🤩 Abbiamo cenato ieri sera e per l'ennesima volta abbiamo avuto conferma della romanita' e qualità del cibo. Ristorante al di fuori del circuito turistico con prezzi ottimi. Personale gentilissimo e gentile. Che altro dire 🤔 APPLAUSI 👏👏👏

21/08/2024: Good evening, I had dinner in this place with my wife and my three children. I have to and want to list the great things about this place. Great attention and hospitality towards customers. Great attention to raw materials. Great quality throughout. I personally tried: Roman-style artichokes Artichokes Giudia style Donuts alla Gricia Seared lamb Sautéed chicory Cream caramel ALL 10 WITH HONORS It is so difficult to still find "the history of ROME in Restaurants in Trastevere. Here is the real one with its own history and its own truth. This is served to you with elegance, professionalism but also with extreme humility in every dish. Fabio Maresca
14/08/2024: Delicious food, exceptional service. They recommended antipasti for a starter which was delicious, for the main course we had spaghetti vongole and lamb. They also recommended us a white wine, a great success.

07/08/2024: Fish and meat based menu. I ate the fish soup and the roasted cod. Everything fresh and artfully cooked. Excellent service
26/07/2024: The place is very pleasant, in Testaccio but in a quiet street. Outdoor tables and the air of an old Roman tavern. My experience with the food, however, was disappointing because the "caught" red snapper with potatoes smelled and tasted of ammonia... Sent back, the staff apologized (not charged) even though they wanted to convince us that it "tasted like the sea". In any case, all the other dishes were really very good, the first courses exceptional and so were the starters and desserts. Honest prices. Service a little slow. Maybe we will give it another chance since it was recommended to us by friends who go often and have always had a good time.
