Borgolungo In Chiavari

I’m not usually minded to leave reviews but we found this place on our first night in Chiavari after a long day of travelling. With two tired and hungry children, we were wary because of mixed reviews, but we needed food. Borgolungo was just the thing for us. My mixed platter of fried fish was a good size and perfectly cooked and fresh and the other dishes were good too. The service was friendly and good humoured. We were very pleasantly surprised.

Excellent lunch. Generous and tasty portions. Mussels marinara style, salted anchovies on grilled peppers, paccheri carbonara and calamarata. Price/quality 👌 To return.

There were three of us there in the evening, it seemed quiet and it wasn't crowded or there was little going on. The boss seemed a bit drunk and was unpleasant, but he still served well and nicely (He was sometimes a bit confused and strange.) The waitresses themselves seemed nice, friendly and willing to serve, that day there was only one woman and the boss there to serve . Which meant that you had to wait up to 10 MIN until someone came out. Our food was great, we ate seafood pasta, spaghetti Cabornara and something with mushrooms. We only recommended what we ate. You can't complain or criticize the price-performance ratio because it was a perfect fit. Despite everything, I would give it 4/5 stars overall. Highly recommended!

Very satisfied with the value for money

We are here for the second time this holiday, not without reason, because the food and service are perfect. The owner is very accommodating and simply authentically Italian..... highly recommended.
