The usual problem as always, non-existent suction, when you get out of there you have to wash every piece of clothing, non-existent air conditioning for years now.

We went with a friend and waited more than half an hour for the food to arrive. The first one arrived and after a long time the second one arrived, which was not the one we had requested, they also gave us that dish... then the second one we had ordered arrived. Each dish took a long time to arrive and asking questions every time that passed. Next door we had another client who had the same thing happen to her.

As a lover of seafood and seafood restaurants, I was excited to try The Fishing Lab in Florence. However, the experience was mixed.
One of the positive aspects is undoubtedly the good food. The dishes were attractively presented and tasted appealing. The friendly staff also contributed to a pleasant atmosphere.
However, I noticed that the seafood offering wasn't as extensive as I would have expected from a seafood restaurant. It felt more like a selection of fish tapas, which might be disappointing for some guests.
Another point that marred my experience was the crowded atmosphere. Although a certain amount of busyness can be charming, the restaurant seemed congested and noisy that evening, making for a less than pleasant dining experience.
The biggest drawback, however, was the price-performance ratio. The prices didn't seem to be in line with the quality and quantity of the food on offer. Considering the above points, I would have liked a better balance between price and quality.
Overall, my visit to “The Fishing Lab” was an ambivalent experience. While the food and staff stood out positively, there were also clear weaknesses in terms of the seafood selection, atmosphere and value for money.

This restaurant is located in the heart of Florence, a stone's throw from the Duomo and the same from Palazzo Vecchio, the place is very well looked after with spectacular vaults inside with original frescoes, the menu is either raw or cooked fish or you can skip meat, all with revisited dishes and very tasty

2024.3.12. (Tuesday) I wanted a traditional store feel, but when I went in, I was a little disappointed because it was so clean and felt like a brand new product. The food was decent compared to the price, Paccheri Pasta (14 euros), Arancino (6.5 euros) , I ordered seafood risotto (16 euros), but it wasn't particularly impressive. I drank two glasses of wine (6 euros each) and paid the seat fee (5 euros) before leaving.

We opted for the special Women's Day tasting menu which took us on a unique culinary journey.
Each course was a work of culinary art, with sensations that transported us directly to the beach: from the appetizer that evoked the foam of the waves to the plate of lasagnette that seemed to float on a delicious sauce. The combination of meat and prawn concluded the journey with an unforgettable note of flavour.
Furthermore, the restaurant's almost museum-like atmosphere added an extra touch of charm to the dining experience.
Although the service could be improved, we highly recommend this restaurant.
