08/09/2024: Nice location on the sea as expected. Terrible service, the waitress looking fed up and condescending asks us what we want to order without offering us the dishes Giorno or the fish of the day which are instead offered to the other two tables who we later discover are regular customers. We order the sweet and sour sardines, many of which are good, and a green salad. That We are served "house" oil in a cruet unlike the other tables where "good" oil is brought in a bottle. What a lack of style and rudeness to make distinctions between customers!! I believe it is one of the first rules of catering and education. I'm sorry for the very kind owner who unfortunately didn't serve us!

01/09/2024: I have been frequenting Lo Squalo for years, every summer that I return to Sicily. I have to say that this year I found it improved. Waiting times have shortened compared to previous years. We ate well, both fish and pizza. The skewered sardines, which I love, are their signature dish. The red mussels are excellent, the pasta with clams and the octopus salad are equally excellent. Nothing to say about the pizza. It remains the best pizza I have eaten in Porto Palo, shrimp, but with shrimp placed on top coming out of the oven. Excellent. It's a simple place, but if I really have to give some advice: coffee should be served in a cup, not in paper cups.
