The place is nice, the food is quite good but nothing exceptional, the price is perhaps slightly too high for the quality of the food and the service. We spent €180 between us.

For many years we have considered Boma as one of the rare restaurants in Varazze where you could eat well, feel good and pay a price commensurate with the quality of the food. However, we have had some disappointments recently The place is always nice and welcoming, the management and staff are always very kind and efficient, but we have no longer found dishes that are up to the standards of the past. A partly burnt and inedible mixed fry, some mediocre and decidedly heavy crepes to swallow, a monkfish completely dry inside, a questionable branded cod and so on. I must say that we have no longer been able to find the refinement, pleasantness and lightness of the dishes of the past. It may be that the chef has adapted to the desires and tastes of his predominant clientele, but frankly we would hope to find the Boma of a few years ago again. With reference to Alessandro's kind reply: Searching in the past, even if a little distant, you will find a review with the well-deserved five stars in December 2016, written with my wife's account (Necne1) on a well-known site where, at the time, it was common to write reviews. Since then we have often complimented you verbally, it has never seemed necessary to reiterate our appreciation with other written evaluations. You're right, the last time we were with you we didn't make any verbal comments, but we had guests and it didn't seem nice to make comments in their presence. Don't be offended by what we have written, we truly hope, in the future, to be able to review the opinion which is not in line with our past experiences. Sincerely, Fede
