Closed Sunday. Drinks only on Monday 13 October 2025 We sat outside another place for almost ten minutes on a quiet Monday evening in October waiting for somebody to come out and take our order. It was table service and other tables had been served. But, for whatever reason, we were ignored. So we went back to BOATS after a five year absence. They open at 18.30 so we were early and the first to sit down outside. Polite and attentive staff, excellent service and a great location. Two glasses of white wine (Verdicchio) at €7 each and two bottles of Beck's at €4 each cost €22. Plus glasses of lemon infused water and quality nibbles (sun dried tomatoes, olives and mini bread stick snacks) at no cost! Drinks only on Saturday 26 September 2020 and Monday 28 September 2020 Really nice glasses of white wine (Grillo) at €5.00 per glass. We only managed two each as we had to dash off for dinner! Thursday 12 April 2018 BOATS means Based On A True Story. Really nice atmosphere in a beautifully designed interior space with very polite and friendly staff. We were immediately served with iced lemon water and offered the cocktail menu. We ordered two big glasses of white wine (as we prefer wine to cocktails). We chose Izolia and were very glad as it was truly superb. We were offered the food menu and it did look very good but we had already made dinner reservations elsewhere. We were expecting to pay more than €12.00 but the bill came to only €10.00. Dinner on Saturday 14 April 2018 This late night cocktail bar and restaurant (open until 02.00) oozes class and sophistication from every pore. It is often filled with young people but don't let that put you off as they are all polite and friendly! Four big glasses of excellent white wine (Izolia at €5.00 per big glass), one bottle of water, two starters of Macco di Fave Tradizionale (traditional cream of broad bean soup), one main of Involtini di Pesce Spada di Lime e Zenzero su Purea di Patate allo Zafferano (lime and ginger swordfish roll with saffron flavoured potato puree) and one main of Filetto di Spigola con Carciofi e Mandorle (sea bass fillet with artichokes and almonds) cost €59.00.

We discovered this incredible cocktail bar just steps from the Temple of Apollo thanks to the recommendations of friends we'd met at another fantastic venue in Palermo. The bartenders' expertise, the atmosphere, the quality of the drinks, and the surprisingly elegant menu truly blew us away. Simply beautiful.
