Blue Bay Resort In Ricadi

During a tour in Calabria we had the opportunity to stop in this resort... fantastic, wonderful view, very clean and welcoming rooms and excellent restaurant service, both for the cuisine and the staff.

Excellent service from the hotel team. Santi and Filipo have worked with passion and patience to give the best to us, the guests. I couldn't be more grateful. The views are great from anywhere. If you like to walk and can do it? Walking to the rocks of Capo Vatica from here is simple. Very grateful to all the wonderful people who work to create wonderful experiences.

We stayed at the Blue Bay Resort from 31 August to 6 September 2024, and we were enchanted by the beauty of the panoramic view (worth the whole stay). The Resort is very beautiful, clean both in the common areas (the swimming pool is kept like a jewel) and in our room. The staff is very kind and non-intrusive...even the entertainment they offer is soft...suitable for people looking for relaxation and peace in this splendid place immersed in the wonder of nature that Capo Vaticano offers. We ate well, and the strong point of the structure is certainly the wide choice that the buffet offers every day. I conclude by saying that the Resort is set in a decidedly paradisiacal setting, and via a path with stairways surrounded by cacti you reach directly the beach managed by Cesare and I take this opportunity to thank him for his kindness and also thanks to Pasquale, the lifeguard next door who offers beautiful excursions by sea. I would definitely return to this Resort and therefore I would recommend it!

I stayed with my husband in the week from 3.08 to 10.08. The sea and the panoramic point are certainly the strength of Blue Bay. There are some things to point out: upon arrival it took more than three hours to get the room, after the flight and with the heat of Calabria the wait was felt. The beach can be reached on foot via a fairly steep staircase to be walked preferably with shoes or at least with sea shoes which will also be useful on the shore. The sand mixed with coarse grains and the rocks that emerge make access unstable: from the umbrellas to the shuttle you have to walk for 500m. Despite these difficulties the water is truly beautiful! So clean that you can see the jellyfish swimming blissfully with the naked eye: be careful! Beach services: an umbrella with two sunbeds is available in each room, the place varies daily, the "first come, first served" gift applies. Pedaloes and canoes cost €10 per hour. The resort offers 1 SUP free of charge (only one for 50 rooms!) and if you come across rude customers, you have no way of using it because the management will become for the exclusive use of the ungrateful customer. The lifeguard does not supervise and does not intervene in the management of the sea equipment, in this case the rule applies "whoever minds his own business, lives for a hundred years!" But I repeat once again, the sea remains the strong point, it is no coincidence that it is called the Coast of the Gods. Restaurant service: They will assign you a table, the one for the entire stay. The menu includes a choice of three first courses and three second courses for both lunch and dinner (the range of dishes is sometimes questionable: fried polenta with porcini mushrooms or legume soup at 35 degrees are a bit heavy, at least for my stomach !) You will also always find a buffet of cold dishes and salads. Three themed evenings are scheduled for the week: Mediterranean, Calabrian and sushi. The dining room staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms: spacious and clean. The air conditioning always remains on when you are out of the room, be careful of temperature changes when you return. In the evening very soft entertainment often with live music. To conclude, I don't know if I've already written it: the sea and the view from above remain unparalleled!😅

Good structure with many comforts. Positioned about 150 meters above sea level, you can enjoy a splendid view of the Gulf of Grotticelle. Spacious and modern rooms, with very large bathroom and shower, shame about the lights being too low and the lack of shade curtains. Excellent Wi-Fi in all rooms. Medium-high catering service, both for the variety of dishes and the quality. Lunch and dinner served at the table with orders from the à la carte menu. Themed evenings with a large menu served as a buffet. Friendly, professional and helpful service staff. Well-kept garden and well-stocked open bar, especially with local products. Undersized swimming pool for the type of structure. Private access to the sea absolutely in need of renovation. With a little more attention it could be a real 4 star.
