Bistro Varenna In Varenna

A small restaurant with good food and a great atmosphere. I recommend it 🙂 Update: I came back here after a year and still nothing has changed. The food is super delicious, the service is very friendly, and the prices are very reasonable. I recommend it again 😃

Best pasta dish we had in Italy

Food and service were very good and timely!

Service was great, servers were much kinder than many other places we visited around Lake Como. The server Michele (? Not sure if I’m butchering his name. He has dark hair and a band tattoo on his upper forearm) was so kind and welcoming. He served us 3 mornings in a row, and made delicious cappuccinos. The vibe is very cute, and prices are good. If I was a local I’d be here every day. We saw several locals visiting this bistro in the mornings, which shows you it’s actually GOOD and not just for tourists. Thank you for positively contributing to our visit to Varenna!! 💛

Amazing little bistro. We had breakfast here daily on our trip as part of our stay with the BnB above the bistro. Super friendly staff and were very accommodating to my friends allergys

Delicious and good value for money

Bistro cuisine, very decent. I was worried about the wait, but I was very pleasantly surprised because the waitress did a great job and the food didn't drag its feet. We had pesto lasagna and spinach and ricotta cannelloni. The pistachio tart was a nice touch.

Concert night, so the square was very lively. Very average meal: basic caprese (tasty tomatoes and the same mozzarella), underseasoned (we've eaten much better capreses...). Oddly enough, we asked for pepper: there was none left in the restaurant.... Gluten-free cannelloni: it must be a frozen supermarket meal. Spaghetti alla vongole: okay. Table a little sticky, service friendly enough. Nice place, but choose the restaurant next door!
