Bistro by MasterCard In Fiumicino

Had a delicious tomato and mozzarella salad. Very fresh taste- perfect to take on board the flight home for a refreshing meal!

Takeaways are good enough for me.

Bistro by Mastercard is better than the lame Italian 🇮🇹 F&B venues at the airport. The latter all serve empty calories from white flour in a dozen variations. The soup at the bistro was absolutely delicious and seems to be very healthy. The steak was very good (non frozen meat) but a little too salty. Oversalting is a commonphenomenon in many parts of Europe these days. I will only eat at this restaurant whenever I fly from Fiumicino Airport because "La cucina Italiana non esiste". It is the title of a book by the distinguished Italian Professor of history Alberto Grandi I highly recommend it. The olive oil and Balsamic vinegar (di modena IGP) are also authentic and delicious.

Porcetta sandwiches were dry but alright and the pasta looked nice

A review deserves a mention for ANNALISA. It was truly enjoyable while waiting for our flight and eating at your place, thanks to her! After a bad experience with a waiter in the restaurant just before the Mastercard bistro, we met Annalisa, who made our wait for our flight pleasant and professional.

My experience here was good. I had "gastronomia plate" compound of 5 different type of delicatessen. Each of them was good, overall big portion, served quickly, have no complain. On yop of it, a young staff was very nice, competent, polite, educated, always smiling and singing. A pearl who should be awarded by her company.

A place where you can buy food and drinks for dine-in or takeout. You can choose from three first courses, three second courses, two salads, focaccias, sandwiches, piadinas, and two desserts. In the morning, brioches and croissants are available for breakfast. There is a restaurant area where you can sit down and eat. A supplement is charged for table service. The staff is friendly and helpful.
