Ate Fritensuppe (a type of pancake soup) and Buckteln (a type of dumpling) - all very delicious. The service was very friendly and attentive.

One of the most impressive valleys around Brixen is the Villnöss Valley. At the end of the valley lies the gateway to the magnificent mountain world of the Dolomites. From the Zanseralm (paid parking: €10/day), the ascent to the Gampenalm (2,062 m) begins. The trail climbs steadily and steeply, past the Kasseril Alm and offers impressive views. The Gampenalm is located directly on the mountains, with indoor and outdoor seating. The food is very good, and the view is fantastic. If you're used to hiking 🥾, you can manage the ascent in about 1.5 hours. It's worth it 👍

🇬🇧 Stayed here instead of Rif. Genova and couldn't have been happier with the choice! Excellent service throughout, delicious food and we got into the last free double room so we're very lucky with that. Comfy bed and fantastic view. Only small disappointments were the one shower for all guests (which ment queues and bit of stress between guests) and the dinner for me (vegan) was mainly just salad and vegetables! Delicious but not very filling for someone who is going to be hiking a half marathon distance the next day across the mountains! Good filling vegan options to consider might be polenta, beans, pasta with mushrooms, or even egg free gnocchi! Hopefully next time there will be better options, we absolutely loved it here and would love to stay again. // 🇬🇧 We stayed here instead of Rif. A great little mountain hut we stayed at as part of our trekking trip. Great staff who were very attentive. Nice wholesome grub with seconds if you were hungry. Free showers a bonus. Nice clean rooms and facilities. The location is a bit of a trek down from another hut so meant a trek back up in the morning
