The brothers are incredibly friendly and attentive, great conversationalists, and excellent at explaining the dishes, which are delicious. I definitely recommend them; any choice is always surprisingly flavorful.

We had a great time and the food and service were amazing 👏. Our server gave us a little history about the restaurant and was a delight to talk to. It was a great way to end our holiday in Rome.

We ate dinner there several times and have only positive things to say... We tried almost all the pasta dishes and were absolutely delighted. We also highly recommend the house appetizer platter! The tiramisu and panna cotta for dessert were also delicious!

When you combine real Roman cuisine with the authenticity of the place. In the Prati area you can't miss it. I had bucatini alla amatriciana, a mixed vegetable appetizer, oxtail stew... everything was plentiful and delicious and compliments for the kindness especially to the girl. COMPLIMENTS!

A must-do experience if you're vacationing in Rome! We were warmly welcomed by Tony, his niece, and the rest of the family. The atmosphere was family-friendly and the food was homey!

Amazing! Some friends recommended it, so we went. You feel right at home ❤️ Rossella hosted us and made us laugh a lot. We also made friends with the ladies at the next table. They were even kind enough to let us charge our phone. Delicious food.

The restaurant's sign says "hostaria," which here in Rome and perhaps in other Italian cities is a way of conveying that it's a typical restaurant, with the characteristics of an old-fashioned tavern. I must say that as soon as you enter, the impression you get matches this archaic definition. The fact that "a la carte" refers to the host's word, who recites the dishes, waits for a response, and then reports them to the chef, confirms that the ancient tradition of Roman taverns is alive and well here.
Since we only tried the first course and side dish, the overall impression is positive despite the incompleteness of the meal (the host didn't even mention the Roman main courses, nor were they requested by the diners).
The gricia was good, although adding oil to the grilled pancetta would not have been an insult. The gnocchi, a typical Thursday dish, were also good. The puntarelle and artichokes "alla giudia" (Jewish-style artichokes) outdid themselves. The Pinot Grigio from the Tenuta del Vescovo winery cheered up the company and helped us digest the dishes. Well done, we'll definitely be back, hoping to try the pajata, which on this occasion was a real treat.
