We've been to Riva so many times, but never to the Bastione. We walked up the well-maintained path. You can also take the elevator for €8 (up and down) or a single ride for €5. At the top, food and drinks are self-service. We only had drinks, which were the same price as in town. The view over the lake and Riva is breathtaking. Anyone who wants to continue to the small church should be fit for the more difficult climb. Plan on about another hour.

Takes~20 minutes hike from the city center, the root is poorly marked on google maps, but is very nice in practice. View worth the efforts

06/01/2026: It was a real surprise for us. We dined at this restaurant on New Year's Eve. The ambiance is very distinctive, with extensive use of wood and various Indian paintings. The dishes were exquisite!!! The music was quite loud in the next room, but it didn't bother us, especially given the festive atmosphere. The staff was friendly, and the price was reasonable for the quality of the food. Highly recommended! We'll be back!!!
