Beautiful place and very original. Cutting boards are recommended but the restaurant also has excellent options. Clearly exceptional view; It has an internal room and an external terrace, however there are windows and the air is circulated. Truly relaxing. Friendly and professional owner. Attentive and courteous service. I'll be back

We reached the bastione after 8 days of hiking and another 10km and 400 meters in altitude at around 35 degrees that day. At first it was a great feeling. I was looking forward to the first beer and got it. Then I looked at the rest of the audience and noticed that you can also get there by cable car. Everyone else was more chic and not as sweaty as me. Unfortunately, that spoiled the impression, even if the Bastione can't do anything about it.

I'll start by saying that we had an aperitif and didn't have lunch or dinner, however, the chips they brought us with the beers had aired and the olives were hot. The service was average. Recover with an excellent view of the lake and the city of Riva del Garda.

In this restaurant the view is everything; fascinating to admire the lake from this height while sipping an aperitif. For the rest the cuisine is nothing exceptional, normal. Prices expectedly high considering the location. Despite this, clean place and friendly staff.

We had dinner at Bastione on Lake Garda on the last evening (of a total of 7 days). The view is very nice, you can see all the way to Nago Torbole. Since we didn't make a reservation, we of course had to wait until a table for 4 people became available. Unfortunately the food didn't match the view. We have already portioned out the kilo of steak, 2x patatine, a baked potato and a side salad. The bread was delicious, but there was only regular olive oil, no balsamic oil. Our children didn't really like the fries, the side salad was rather boring without any real dressing. Well, the best part wasn't actually the steak. Much too raw, we had to grill it again and half of the kilo of steak had a large bone. Unfortunately the picture is misleading. Looks good but unfortunately too bad for the money. Unfortunately not recommended for this price! We would like to come again to watch but not to eat again, which is a shame. All 4 of us weren't thrilled about it Eat.

Visited whilst visiting Riva a couple of weeks ago. Wow! What a spectacular view over Riva and Lake Garda. Drinks and service great too. We could have stayed there all day.

This is a fabulous cafe bar at the top of the funicular. We visited one afternoon while on a sightseeing trip. The restaurant has a terrace with incredible views over the lake and mountains. The service is poor and it took a long time for a staff member to take our order. Once the order was taken, our drinks arrived soon after. We were impressed to see that our drinks came with complementary crisps, olives and garlic bread bites. It’s worth a visit here, to take in the views, be prepared for a long wait and use the time to enjoy the experience to the full.
