Great food and spectacular view

Unfortunately, we only discovered this place on the last night of our vacation; we'll be back another time to try the cuisine. We took the panoramic elevator up to the Bastione, and once at the top, we discovered it was also a restaurant and bar. We ordered a cocktail and sat down to enjoy the excellent view of the city and part of the lake from above. Looking at the menu, we saw some special dishes that we'll definitely be back to try. A very beautiful and unique place, with helpful staff.

Good food, but too small (even worse for the kids). We even left a small portion for the kids! A real shame because the view is still magnificent even on a cloudy day. The waiters aren't exactly happy to be working, or don't they like the French? Good question? I recommend it, but just for a drink.

Our visit to Riva del Garda began at the sailing club, where we left our car, and then continued with a pleasant lakeside stroll to the panoramic elevator. In just a few minutes, we reached the Bastione and, after visiting the historic tower, we stopped at the Lounge Bar. The terrace is truly spectacular: overlooking Garda Trentino and the town of Riva, it offers a view that alone is worth the stop. We spent a relaxing half hour sipping uniquely flavored spritzes and colorful non-alcoholic aperitifs, all prepared with care and imagination. The modern and elegant venue is perfectly integrated into its surroundings, harmoniously combining contemporary design and historic charm. The friendly, attentive, and helpful staff made the experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this stop: perfect for a scenic aperitif, but also an unforgettable highlight of your visit to Riva del Garda.

The place is beautiful and has a beautiful view and it is worth a visit, but to be warned, the service is bad and the person who handles reservations is a rude person and does not deserve to be the face of a place like this. I visited it the first time and the place was crowded and there were tables available, but he refused to even talk to us under the pretext of being crowded. When I came to ask him how to book, he raised his voice and said it was impossible. In general, I read comments complaining about the same thing, but I said I would give him a second chance and went early the next day, even though before that I tried to call the number without a response and sent an email to book, but also without a response. When I arrived at the place, the same person refused to even talk to us and sat talking on a video call on his mobile and said, “Okay, if a table is free, sit down.” When I sat down, he came and we stood up under the pretext that it was booked. I asked him again how to book, but he did not respond. In the end, I sat at a table on the side and refused to let me get up. The rest of the staff were cooperative and friendly, but the supervisor was very rude. But the view of the place and the castle are worth a visit.

Wonderful place and the view of the village is amazing

After spending a pleasant afternoon there during the week by elevator, we wanted to celebrate the sunset up there on Saturday evening. In short, I've never felt so unwelcome! First, the cushions were removed from our chairs, then a QR code for the drinks was thrown at us (we weren't even offered the existing menu), and there wasn't a lamp like at all the other tables, just a notice saying we'd have to vacate the table if it rained. In summary: never again, the view couldn't possibly be that beautiful!

Mooi uitzicht op Riva en heerlijk koffie gedronken en gebakje gegeten voor democratische prijzen. Mooi interieur. Een aanrader! Loop na je bezoek naar beneden via de gemakkelijke weg. Duurt Max 30 min en is zeer goed te doen.
