The food was good. The spaghetti alla carbonara was quite good. The pinsa was the best I've ever had. It was the size of a small Italian pizza. The prices are a bit higher, but the location is great. Overall, it's one of the better restaurants.

We had dinner with friends. The location is already beautiful, at the foot of Porta Soprana. The staff is extremely friendly, and the menu, although divided between Italian and Brazilian dishes, did not disappoint. Two of us chose the meat tasting menu with side dishes. The other two opted for the à la carte menu. We drank an excellent bottle of Vimo and spent €39 each. The portions were very generous. We'll be back.

Situated in the city center of Genoa, normally a very busy place. We went early so getting a seat was not an issue for us. If you like meat, this is a good place for your to try. Brazilian restaurant mainly, also offers Italian. Suggest to try Brazilian meat varieties here. I liked the service, place is bit cramped due to high estate value in the city center. Will I visit again? Of course, next time I am in Genoa

We spent our first dinner in Genoa at Barravento. The menu gave the impression of a tourist spot, but we didn't regret stopping there. The tastes were all there. Everyone was able to eat what they wanted: one had focaccia, another had pizza, and another had pasta. The table on the street, shaded by the wind, allowed us to enjoy the meal despite the 31°C at 7 p.m. A very pleasant restaurant.

Pleasant terrace along a lively street, not far from the cathedral. Pasta, Pinsa, Pizza, ... more than enough choice. Excellent tables and chairs.

Our first night dining out in Italy and I get scrambled egg carbonara?? Aren’t Italians known for their pasta - If you’re in Italy and someone serves you scrambled-egg carbonara… they’re either not Roman, or they’re cooking for tourists 🤌 We waited quite a while for service and eventually I asked if we had to come inside to order to which the waiter apologised 🙏 Luckily my partner had some beautiful pasta e patate which made up for the breakfast pasta I had 🤷‍♂️ 😅 The service was pretty average if your Italian is also, a little average… the older gentleman certainly seemed amused that I’d given it a try but I would hold your breath on kindness and you’ll need some patience to be served 👋

28/05/2025: Very welcoming place in colors and soft lighting. The price is a bit high but it's worth it. I always try to book with the fork with a promotion/discount. The uramaki are all good. I personally also really like the Venere rice with vegetables.
01/05/2025: Secondo me a Genova è tra i sushi migliori: essendo poi fusion brasiliano (per esempio vi è un grande utilizzo di frutti e salse esotiche) aumenta ancora il mio gradimento. Personale cortese preparato e all'altezza dei piatti. Consiglio la caipirinha al Mango, è perfetta da abbinare al menù.

Tierra Nuestra

24/08/2025: Due to a three-hour layover in Genoa, we had some time to spare, so we used Google Maps to find a restaurant near the bus station. We decided on the neighboring "Trattoria da Mario," which was closed for vacation—which turned out to be a stroke of luck. The "Tierra Nuestra," just a few steps away, didn't seem inviting at first glance, with its large-format food photos in the entrance area and its somewhat small and cramped outdoor terrace. This impression quickly faded, however. We had a few questions about the dishes on the menu, which the waitress couldn't answer due to language barriers. The restaurant manager noticed this and stepped in to help, calling the chef from the kitchen to our table, who answered our question. We found this very friendly and helpful. My companion then ordered fish with rice, and I ordered seafood with rice. We received two generous portions, which were visually appealing and both of us thoroughly enjoyed them. At the end of our visit, we were glad that the "Trattoria da Mario" was closed, as otherwise we wouldn't have experienced this extraordinary culinary experience.
22/08/2025: The food is really good, the service is basic but courteous, worth trying.
