Mario, the owner, was incredibly friendly and made us feel like family. His passion for great food and service truly shines through. The food was simply outstanding—every dish was packed with authentic Italian flavors. The pasta was perfectly cooked, the pizza had that delicious wood-fired crispness, and the gelato was the perfect sweet finish. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients, and everything was beautifully presented. Beyond the amazing food, the atmosphere was absolutely charming. Nestled in the picturesque streets of Old Naples, Barbatella offers a perfect blend of casual elegance. Really great food, service and atmosphere. Recommend sitting outside and getting the short rib ravioli. The truffle sauce was amazing. The arancini was also delectable.

Sarah was an excellent waitress! The food was amazing, especially the arancini appetizer. We sat outside and they had heaters at each table. It was our best meal while visiting Naples.

As entrees, we took the fried calamari, the artichokes, the eggplant and the arancini, they were all really good and fresh. For the main we got the funghi pizza, the only thing was that there wasn’t a lot of mushrooms on it, it was quite light on toppings. The service wasn’t that good, we run out of water a couple times, they didn’t offer cheese for the pasta or pepper and when we did ask for it, it took a while to get to us.

For an Italian, eating pizza in America is a paradox, but having stopped in this town we decided to try it at Barbatella. I must say that it was a very good, unexpected pizza. Too bad about the service, slow and a little suspicious on the part of the waitress.

We had an amazing meal tonight at Barbatella. We tried the 100 layer lasagna. We will definitely go back, it was delicious! Our server Sarah K was outstanding!! We will request her again for sure!
