Amazing food, kind staff and top location!!, only one problem, I went to eat in this restaurant with a dear childhood friend of mine called Simone, unfortunately he has celiac disease and after dinner he felt ill, experiencing severe pain in his stomach and head. The situation subsequently worsened until I took him to the hospital, where he was hospitalized for 3 days in intensive care, at the Careggi hospital in Florence he caught Covid (something that has never happened in 5 years of pandemic), after numerous attempts to save him by the healthcare staff my friend Simone passed away. In conclusion, if you are celiac, don't come and eat here!!

I encountered my first pizza, many decades ago, in the then exclusive place where it was possible to eat it, namely Naples. The term pizza later became world heritage, but a true Neapolitan pizza is instead a rather occasional encounter.
Reading "Neapolitan pizza", under this sign, some time ago, I went, confidently, to this place. However, the disappointment was bitter: the pizza was too shallow and cooked, with an excessive edge; the pasta seemed almost rubbery; and cutting it also on the inside, where it should be soft, turned out to be...challenging; the taste, alas, a foreign one.
Recognition to the staff, very kind; the efficient service.

The food is really good at Barbarossa and the price is perfect with a fixed land menu €12.00 without coffee, for those who want there are also pizzas at midday the place is quite large the tables are pizzeria style and the chairs are comfortable. There are 2 waitresses and as far as I'm concerned they work well, they could do better but from what I saw it's fine. the à la carte menus are excellent based very much on Neapolitan cuisine so the chef is excellent at fish-based dishes.
I go there often. Especially from Saturday

Voglio ringraziare in primis il proprietario Roberto e tutto lo staff del Barbarossa, persone cordiale, disponibile e sempre attente al cliente. La cena è stata eccellente in tutto, abbiamo mangiato prodotti locali, a base di pesce, cucinati da un chef straordinario. Grazie.
