Barbagia ospitale: not just the name of this magical place, but its complete description. Mr. Bachisio's hospitality is something rare (and so are his staff!). In addition to serving excellent, local food (truly zero-mile), he walks you through the history of his land, making you feel at home. We sat down at the table at 1:30 PM, and once lunch was over, we joined him for a chat and a coffee outside in the bar area. Little by little, we were joined by locals who made us feel like old friends, so much so that we were back on our bikes at 7 PM. If you're looking for a genuine atmosphere, filled with people eager to share words and life stories (like they used to do in the olden days), if you want good, and above all, local, food, you can't miss this place.

Bachisio is a guarantee! I love its simplicity, its humility, and its ability to engage diners with healthy food and interesting insights. For years now, it's been a go-to place that makes you feel at home. If you love simplicity and good, quality food...it's an excuse to stop by if you're passing through, but also a good excuse to head to Belvì!

It was the only restaurant open on a Monday evening in July, but we didn't regret it. A warm welcome, a magnificent Tomahawk, and excellent fries.
