Bar Turismo In Polignano a mare

This was the best gelato I’ve ever had. Vito the owner was very hospitable and had us try some flavours. He is the third generation of this place. The nocciola was my favourite.

In a city where the restaurant business has become a speculative industry, Bar Turismo retains its precious, ancient and authentic soul. Gelato like it used to be, with extraordinary cream, quality ingredients, and artisanal biscuit cones. Truly, among all the gelaterias in the Bari metropolitan area, it has no rivals. Try it and believe it!

After 10 years, we returned, hoping to find him again. And luckily, Bar Turismo is still there. Same bar and same owner as always. Gelato, in one word: spectacular. Vito might seem grumpy to most tourists (despite the bar's name 😂). It's better this way; tourists go to bars/gelato shops designed especially for them, with bright LED signs, blasting music, futuristic decor, and outrageous prices. We'll keep our lovely Bar Turismo, a dive into the memories and flavors of the past.

The most delicious ice cream and coffee. Mr. Sebastiano recommended this to us in Bari as the best place and we should try the nocciola and cioccolato flavors. He was right! 🤩

Excellent gelato, the best in Polignano, made with fresh ingredients, just like in the old days. The '70s-style place smells of cream, milk, and coffee as soon as you walk in. We enjoyed a gelato in a cup with cream that was truly special....in fact, super....

This is a "mistake" gelato restaurant that only locals seem to know about, not the flashy, fake gelato typical of tourist destinations. When we visited around 10 AM, we were the only customers, and the owner seemed quite busy, perhaps preparing to open. The owner recommended a combination of coffee and chocolate, and the combination was really good. He also added whipped cream. When I finished the gelato and was about to open the cone, the owner came back and gave me a scoop of gelato as a service. It was so delicious that I asked the owner what it tasted like, and he said it tasted like nuts. If you visit here, I definitely recommend ordering the nuts flavor!

Semplicemente il migliore! Non ci sono parole per descrivere la bontà,la genuinità ed il sapore unico del gelato che fa il signor Vito……ci vado da quasi 40 anni ed è semplicemente il migliore in assoluto! Da provare arachidi e doppia panna (normale e al caffè) dire divino è poco…..il bar mantiene sempre il suo fascino retró un po’ anni 70 ma è particolare anche per quello,così oltre a mangiare un ottimo gelato fate contemporaneamente anche un viaggio nel tempo,che chiedere di più? Bar Turismo…..il top!!!!!!!
