Bar Stendardo In Venezia

01/11/2025: Splendid location overlooking the canal with San Marco opposite (we stayed in a spacious double room with a private bathroom). New, well-renovated building, lovely indoor relaxation area with bar, tables, and sofas, board games, and books available to read. Downsides: terrible breakfast with industrial-strength croissants and undrinkable coffee, and only one towel per person in the room.

21/10/2025: There is no better location, it's directly across the Grande canal from San Marco square. Three desk is manned 24/7. The front doors are never locked. Fellow guests are well behaved, it felt like a library in the common areas. Bring a padlock for your unnerved storage. Caffe service starts at 7 am. Small bathrooms need an upgrade.
