A little gem in the city center, the outside is deceiving; you might leave without stopping, and in that case, you'd be making a big mistake. The food is good, and the service is welcoming and the staff are kind and professional. The place is small and fills up quickly.

A pleasant surprise! An authentic Italian restaurant, not yet spoiled by tourism, with excellent food at reasonable prices. The daily menu is handwritten and explained by the waitress. Highly recommended. Another positive: It's one of the few restaurants in the area open until 3 p.m. for lunch.

A Tuscan work colleague, a regular customer, recommended this restaurant, as they're always open even in the low season. We strongly recommend booking in advance, even one or more days in advance, and asking for a table away from the sidewalk, as it's not very quiet and there's a lot of traffic. Otherwise, we had a good fish first course (pasta with mussels and clams) and a meat-based first course with sausage and leeks. For the second course, the Polpo Briaco was fairly well executed. Thinly sliced pork loin with a side of potatoes... the loin had a lot of pepper and a bit too much oil, although overall it was an acceptable main course, tender and well-cooked.
There aren't prices on the menu, so we couldn't get a better idea... to give you an idea, adding a large bottle of water, a beer, and a Coke, we ended up spending €59. For a dinner for two, including a first course, second course, drink, and coffee, it's a competitive price.
The owners are Tuscan, so you have to be prepared for anything. Their answers are friendly, yet direct and forthright, depending on the evening.
The menu is handwritten and changes daily. The photocopy is both "vintage" and emblematic of the place. See the attached photo to give you an idea.
If you're in Cecina for several days, stopping by might be an alternative, as the dishes are definitely local and the quality/price ratio is still excellent.

Unexpected cuisine that amazes you. Quality ingredients for simple recipes prepared by undeniably expert hands. The menu is handwritten, with dishes crossed out as soon as they're finished. What's on offer is what you eat. Service is a bit slow at times, but the number of guests justifies it. Finally, someone who knows how to cook fish (and more). The price is more than fair. Excellent. We'll definitely be back.
