A pleasant place to take a break among the green meadows along the Talvera River and enjoy an aperitif. I recommend the Prosecco rosé.

Quiet café in the park and very friendly staff!

Due to South Tyrol's tourist attraction, on some days the crowds through Bolzano can be almost unbearable. If you want to avoid this, turn from the Obstplatz square into Runkelsteiner Straße and follow it to Talfergries. From Talfergries, a few steps lead up to the banks of the Talfer, a stream that is now a full-grown river. Sitting slightly higher up, especially from the outdoor seating at the café, you can enjoy the view over the gardens or the river. It's mostly locals who stroll here, often older and often younger, and often with their mothers. The café itself is rudimentary, although the selection of drinks is perfectly acceptable, and the joy of escaping the hustle and bustle for a moment of your choosing is priceless anyway, because it's free.

The barista makes excellent coffee, the hostess serves you discreetly and warmly, and you can sit quietly on plastic chairs, away from the hustle and bustle of the center, with a view of the park and the mountains. An oasis!
