The restaurant has been recently renovated, and it shows: the space is modern, with attention to detail and, above all, bright, making it immediately pleasing to the eye. The atmosphere is welcoming and inviting, perfect for both a quick break and a meeting with friends. A strong point is undoubtedly the staff: knowledgeable, friendly, and always smiling, they make you feel at ease from the first moment, almost as if you were at home. Overall, a very positive experience, one worth repeating!

After breakfast, which was really good, we decided to come here for a small lunch... whatever we choose to try is delicious, from the calzone to the pizza, or even the arancino. Everything is delicious.

I've been frequenting Bar Roma for years, and it remains a must-see on the island. Since 1968, the D'Ippolito family has been synonymous with quality and courtesy in a place that, despite its renovation, retains its warm, homey atmosphere. The recent redesign has made it modern and bright, without losing its traditional soul. Dream breakfasts: iris, cannoli, cassata, pistachio or ricotta brioches, granitas, and gelato made with fresh, authentic ingredients. Giovanni D'Ippolito is probably the nicest person you'll meet on Lampedusa: helpful, cheerful, and genuine. And the entire bar staff is like one big family, always ready to make every customer feel welcome. A must-visit for starting the day with a smile.

Stylish furnishings and a few quality products aren't enough. The most important thing is kindness and courtesy, which are unfortunately totally absent. I understand the pressure and difficulty of working with a large crowd of tourists in August, but a "good morning and thank you" should never be forgotten. P.S. Without tourists, you'd be nothing more and nothing less than a run-of-the-mill village bar...:

A must-have for breakfast and beyond. The pistachio bombolone and almond granita are superb. The classic cannoli also deserves a mention.

We spent a few days in Lampedusa and had breakfast every morning at this fantastic café. The food was delicious, with fabulous croissants, but above all, the staff was friendly and helpful. Giovanni was super kind! We'll definitely be back.

Review of Bar Roma – Lampedusa For my wife and I, Bar Roma is undoubtedly the most complete and delicious pastry shop in all of Lampedusa. Every morning, it's a pleasure to start the day with their breakfast: fragrant croissants and an incredible variety of baked and fried pastries, filled in every way possible—from sheep's milk ricotta to Nutella, from pistachio cream. You can taste the quality and passion in every product, all strictly traditional and authentic. A true reference point on the island for those who love authentic flavors and tradition.

A beautiful, recently renovated bar, located, as its name suggests, just off the central Via Roma. A must-visit, several times a day, during our island vacation. A vast assortment of sweet and savory products, all top-quality. Excellent value for money. The pride of the business is certainly the management, characterized by boundless courtesy, even at peak times, even when tourists are rude. Giovanni, with whom we chatted and joked several times, his family, and the entire staff run this business with enviable passion. I highly recommend it!
