I had a divine meal at this seafood restaurant! The quality-price ratio is excellent, and you can immediately sense the care taken in selecting the ingredients. The appetizers were delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented, each one better than the last. The raw fish was delicious and fresh. Everything else on the menu was top-notch: from appetizer to dessert, there wasn't a single flaw. The dishes were tasty, well-cooked, and the portions were just right. A truly pleasant experience, absolutely recommended for those who love good seafood and want to eat well without spending a fortune. I'll definitely be back! 🐟✨

La Gassa d'Amante is a hidden gem inside the CUS Bari...for several years, it's been my favorite place for good seafood. The indoor dining area is small and cozy, and in the summer, you can dine al fresco just steps from the marina. The food is exquisite, the presentation is beautiful, and the quality of the ingredients is top-notch. The staff is always courteous and helpful...and last but not least, the prices are in line with the quality offered and never excessive. If you love good seafood, La Gassa could be a pleasant surprise. I almost forgot...if you like spaghetti all'assassina, try it!

The entrance was a little hard to find from the street due to the adjacent youth sports center. The food was very, very good – I haven't eaten that well in a long time. They also served some local specialties to sample. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive. This restaurant is an absolute must-visit in Bari.

Everything was spectacular. In a hidden restaurant, a must-find, we sampled excellent raw ham and a delicious first course. The fried fish and dessert tiramisu were outstanding. To finish the meal, we enjoyed chestnuts and tangerines. The welcome and service were excellent. Highly recommended.

La Perla del Doge

25/12/2025: Disappointed. Since it's a rather renowned establishment, I thought it was the right place to celebrate Christmas with the whole family, paying the right price for service worthy of the reputation. At the end of the evening, the service didn't live up to expectations. 1) The salmon appetizer was served without the expected crostini. An essential element to break up a strong-flavored dish. Since these weren't à la carte orders, this is a glaring omission for those who plan their supplies and for the quality of the location. 2) The staff in charge of serving wine at the table were often assigned to multiple tasks, so we had to wait for them to be free to have our wine poured. I think that if you want to offer a superior level of service, you have to be capable of doing so, otherwise, you leave the ice bucket in the center of the table with the drink inside. 3) Still considering the location, it was embarrassing for the establishment to hear the table service staff say that coffee wasn't provided and that it would be served as a personal favor. 4) Last but not least, the fact that they ended the evening quickly (before 6:30 PM) while the other rooms inside the establishment continued the party joyfully. CONCLUSION: I won't be returning... anytime soon.
09/12/2025: La Perla del Doge is a magical place, where love and the enchantment of the sea view meet and create an indescribable emotion that will remain forever etched in your memory. The staff was excellent, from the welcome upon the bride and groom's arrival to the entire process of that wonderful day! They were attentive to everything and were ready to provide their best service. We got married on September 15, 2025, and to this day we can only speak highly of it and have wonderful memories of that day! The banquet manager was excellent, and all the staff who assisted us throughout our journey were unique... our DJ Alessandro was phenomenal! Impeccable, he knew how to entertain all our guests and make them have a great time. This will definitely be OUR ROOM for future parties ❤️ We couldn't have chosen better ❤️

Restaurant Pizzeria Il Fragno

16/02/2026: Recently, almost every year I've been going to Putignano to see the parade. The rule was to book a hotel with dinner on Saturday and see the parade the next day. But this year, due to lack of rooms, I've had to change my habits, and I'm happy about it, because in addition to finding a B&B that was much better than the hotel room, I found this restaurant/restaurant/pizzeria that satisfied me greatly. It was destiny that we ate here. Saturday, not only was it the eve of Carnival, but it was also Valentine's Day. Driving past this place in a pouring rainstorm, it seemed like an oasis. As soon as we arrived at the shopping center, where we were headed to waste an hour indoors, since there was nothing else to do with the rain, I called to see if there was a table. Obviously, there was no way we could get there until late, but we were tired and hungry from waiting, so we made do. The Sunday after the magnificent Putignano Carnival, I called again and found a table at "Peppino." The place is nice, with a series of seating areas, a veranda overlooking the parking lot, and a large covered area (currently closed, but which I imagine always crowded with tables and pizzas in the summer), plus another indoor dining room. The atmosphere isn't particularly attractive, in the sense that there are no special effects; it's very much like a 1960s-1970s trattoria, ideal for families and snobs, I'd say. The daily menu is an A4-sized, sealed plastic bag. It doesn't look particularly impressive, but it's comprehensive and offers interesting options, with prices I'd call very fair. The wine list is included, modest, but Apulian, and if the wine isn't good in this region, tell me where. I wanted a good bottle of red to enjoy with the meat, but since all the tables on the veranda only had 1-liter carafes of red wine, I asked the waiter what it was. He told me it was a Primitivo, around 13% ABV, perhaps a little light (but not so much after drinking it). Obviously, we ordered that. Having to travel back home, and there was already too much wine, I didn't try the first course, but the dishes I saw being passed around were quite tempting. After a useless appetizer chosen by my wife consisting of prosciutto and burrata (too cold from the fridge), finally the ribs, over 600 g each, so I emphasize for my tastes, next time we'll make sure to ask for a whole one of at least 1.5 kg to share at the table. In any case, it was excellent, obviously asked for rare but overdone, precisely because the thickness is far from that of a Florentine steak, but I repeat, the meat is really good and tasty. I had French fries as a side, something I don't particularly like, they brought me a mountain of them, they may have been frozen but fried in very clean oil and very crispy, so good that I finished them all, incredible as far as I'm concerned, that potatoes might as well not exist. My wife had a mixed salad and here too the portion was more than generous. In the end, I couldn't get anything left: the coffee, the bill, and off I went. I paid without any hidden surprises, things that always happen around here, a fair price, and I ate well with a view of the olive trees that stand everywhere around here. Next year, I'll come back here to eat for Carnival, maybe pizza for dinner and steaks for lunch, after the parade, or if we feel like coming another weekend before, same plan but without the parade, maybe we'll go to the safari park. Fragno is a type of oak tree for those who don't know, and I didn't know it before.
