PLACES LIKE THIS SHOULD BE ETERNAL 🇮🇹
ABSOLUTELY SATISFIED.
Unfortunately I had never been there before. Today I went to get a cake that a friend had commissioned, as well as being aesthetically spectacular it was exquisite!
The two owners, I assume wife and husband, were absolutely kind and very nice! There had been a misunderstanding regarding the delivery time of the cake between me and my friend, so I arrived at around 8.30am, when in fact the pick-up appointment was for 1pm, so obviously the pastry chef (the owner) still had to finish preparing it. Nonetheless, instead of sending me away and then having me come back, despite the fact that the place was in full service (Sunday morning) he kindly finished my cake within a short time and while I was waiting, his wife insisted on offering me breakfast (coffee and cream croissant, which was amazing and very fresh!)
I was pleasantly chatting for quite a while and in addition to the excellent products on display (desserts aside from wonderful looking bread and pizza) what I immediately noticed and had been missing for years was the authenticity of the place... the real bar, pastry shop or in any case catering business of the past... today increasingly rare and unfortunately in a few decades, with immense regret, these Italian realities of ours will have definitively disappeared.
We try to enjoy them as much as possible and defend and honor them by going there more often, in doing so we also honor the grandmothers, parents and families who are the soul of all this.
