I came for aperitif twice and the drinks are good. Service ok, but not the best. When my friend asked the waitress if they could make her some hot tea, at first glance the waitress said no, then she changed her mind, because who doesn't have hot water to make tea?
However, good price and the interior is very very nice.

Historic place in the center of Mantua, honest in prices, excellent in products and equipped with fast and friendly service. The only small flaw is that the bathroom is only accessible after a staircase to the first floor.

Piccolo locale storico (aperto nel 1865) situato nel centro di Mantova, difronte a piazza Erbe, arredato in stile antico per ricreare l’ambiente di un tempo con pochi posti a sedere all’interno e alcuni tavolini collocati sotto ai portici.
Io ci sono stata per colazione e ho consumato un cappuccino di soia (1.90 cremoso) e una veneziana (nella norma 1.50 euro).
Servizio rapido, personale cortese e prezzi un po' sopra la norma.

Welcome stop at the historic bar in the center of Mantua for an aperitif. It is worth stopping for canapés different from the usual ones then with the house bitters.

The perfect Italian bar in central Piazza delle Erbe , with tourist office nearby .
Super friendly staff and wonderful Caravatti apéritivo, which we tasted every day and bought a bottle to take home. Yum. Superb plate of ham , lovely snacks.
Our favourite watering hole in magnificent Mantova, made even better by the warm welcome of all the staff. Highly recommended.

Nettes Café direkt im Zentrum, nettes Personal und rasche Bedienung. Vernünftige Preis bei guter Qualität. WC etwas altertümlich.
