17/08/2025: Nice and welcoming place. Excellent service with friendly and professional staff. Recommended!
26/07/2025: "...travelers in the wake of good fortune..." is how we define ourselves upon entering this place, which is not a restaurant, much less a public establishment, but a cultural glimpse, a slice of life and anything but commercial...
You can already hear it in the voice of those who greet you as soon as you enter with a cordial "welcome," quite distinct from the classic "good evening," pronounced in a decidedly native Italian and knowingly verging on good Vercelli... You see it in the eyes of those who come to meet you to accompany you to the table or to choose your favorite corner, in the warmth of the owner Matteo, who comes to the table not only for the service but to get to know you personally, like a long-awaited guest or an old companion on adventures, and to share his knowledge and good advice... sharing with you the recipes expertly prepared by Chef Jonathan...
An experience more than an evening from the point of view of the guests (and not just customers)... and in any case it ends successfully... truly experiencing, in the colors, flavors, aromas, and atmosphere of a land (strictly Piedmontese, most in (general)....
This timeless, enchanted corner remains far from commercial incursions, honest with common inflections, and free from tacky, superficial interests....
A well-run establishment, with a youthful, entrepreneurial approach that remains grounded in reality. The dishes are of the highest quality (really good appetizers and a superbly prepared dinner, oregano focaccia, Russian salad, parmigiana, old-fashioned veal with tuna sauce, a simply exquisite rabbit tuna dish, giardiniera, parmigiana, DOP burrata with eggplant, and fragrant tagliolini with three tomatoes). The staff are fantastic, well-groomed, and their decor is simple and, above all, clean. Hygiene is meticulously maintained and is evident in every corner, from the common areas to the serving counter to the restrooms.
This, when contextualized, is livened up by an influx of people eager to have a good time, and at Bijoux (which has nothing on the other similar places in the area), you feel at ease, thanks also to the constant yet discreet service.
Easy parking nearby and spaces that still allow for sufficient attention to our (super)abled friends.
Truly beautiful, highly recommended, even with an eye on the price. Well-balanced in quality and quantity, certainly within everyone's reach.
Finally, the setting is anything but superficial: Vercelli and its city center truly evoke a bygone era... but not yet gone...
Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
