Going here made my entire day. The old couple who owns the bar are so so nice and cute. We are travelling through lecce and wanted an authentic bar. We chose the right one. The man who owns the bar approached me and gave me one of their pastries. Which was traditional and so good! We also had iced americano, and I must say, it was very good- not bitter at all. Please do yourself a favour and go here. They are so sweet!

In praise of preservation! The Martinica bar in Lecce is a living museum. Everything has remained intact, just as it was in the beginning. The owner is always present, constantly busy: cleaning the counter, grinding coffee... In an era when everything is renovated, often with the desire to revive the past, giving it a new look and thus ending up erasing that very past, a bar like the Martinica proves once again that it's time to leave nothing to chance, especially when it touches on the sublime of 1960s Italian modernity!

Authentic old bar from 1968. Extremely friendly owners, large selection of spirits and coffee. I recommend it for an authentic experience.
