29/11/2024: Thanks Laura and Alberto, I wanted to make a good impression on my friends and I hit the mark with you. I hadn't been back for a long time but I was pleased to see that the good traditions have not changed, on the contrary, if possible they have been tweaked for the better.
The environment is intimate, the number of seats is just right to be able to enjoy a quiet lunch or dinner (perhaps the noisiest last night was our table).
The menu is one of those that makes you think "I'll take one of everything" but then your nutritionist appears in your vision and then - with quite a bit of difficulty - you choose. Tuscan appetizers, delicious first courses, excellent quality (and cooked!) meat, perfect side dishes. Sweets? Yes, I really would have taken them all.
The cellar is of a good standard and for all budgets, at modest prices you can find the classic Chianti to accompany a nice Fiorentina but, if you want, you can raise the bar.
Alberto manages the room in an impeccable, discreet and friendly manner, he knows how to treat the customer and if the situation allows it he doesn't shy away from the joke.
Meanwhile, in the kitchen Laura does not prepare dishes but pampers for the customer. The first courses were not planned but we got carried away and came out happy, the trawls with the diced Chianina ragù are an orgasm for the palate. Followed by Her Majesty the Florentine: weighed at the table, 4.4Kg for two artistic works of meat, with a crown of baked sandy potatoes. Chapeau.
Closed with tiramisu, tart and cantucci for the right sweet ending, coffee and bitters.
What can I say, a nice evening and a bill in line with the service and the quality and quantity of the food, satisfied friends and a successful bet... but I had no doubts about this.
