Bar Lacona In Capoliveri

A few days before the trip, rereading some reviews, we left discouraged because they were negative BUT... Due premise we booked with booking through hotiday (which is not very clear if you don't read and re-read the details). We arrive at the property and are welcomed with the appropriate explanations, the room is not in the main structure but always inside the property, separate parking €10 per day (recommended because outside places are few and always occupied due to the nearby beach access). The "HOTIDAY" rooms are on the 3rd FLOOR of this structure without a lift, which for us means a few steps to climb but not adequate for a 4-star hotel since it is a fundamental requirement, like the wi-fi absent in the rooms but in the end for us It went well so we were on holiday and two flights of stairs didn't put us off. The well-kept and clean room of about 20m2 with a very comfortable terrace (in the end it fits). The temperature in the room was not very suitable (nightmare of the review read, the air conditioning does not work) but the director of the structure immediately took action to solve the problem since problems can happen but the important thing is that they are addressed and resolved as in this case within a few hours the director personally went to the rooms several times to make sure that everything was in order. The room was very clean and tidy, even when the manager had zero personal needs and we were able to agree with the cleaning ladies when to clean the room at a time different from the pre-established one. We always read in the reviews that the breakfast was not worthy of being served and I must also dispel this aspect, it is served with 3 buffet tables full of sweet and savory dishes, the dinner buffet is also notable and varies from evening to evening. That being said, a very respectable four-star hotel which is completed with the "club card" package at a cost of €8 per person for each day of stay, which gives access to the swimming pool, umbrella on the beach at the partner lido and kids' club (the only note on the beach: when booking with hotiday the beach is not the one shown in the photo).

Hotel that offers an economical solution for stays with the right quality/price ratio on the island. The rooms are of a reasonable standard, the service is courteous but, for the most part, provided by seasonal and therefore inexperienced staff. It is a hotel with entertainment, which has an agreement with tour operators, so it focuses a lot on large numbers and I think this is the reason for its accessibility on an economic level. So not a bad thing, also because as mentioned the experience is more than valid. The particularly positive aspect is the proximity to the sea, which always takes place in the shade, before the hotel park and then through a beautiful pine forest which leads to the partner establishment, which is also of a good standard and with prices in line with the other beaches on the island.

We stayed from June 28th to July 5th. First experience in a village we had a great time with some flaws: Abundant and excellent food with great variety. Excellent entertainment, everyone was friendly and helpful for my son in particular Arturo. Stunning sea and clean beach. It's a shame that in the evening everything ends early at 10.30pm and there is practically nothing outside. The room service is disorganized even if the waiters are friendly. Just finished a very pleasant week at the Uappala hotel in Lacona. A nice hotel in a good location, the sea a little subdued compared to other beaches on Elba, but there were various disturbances around, so it would have to be checked in another period. Excellent service, extremely kind dining room staff, all without any distinction with particular reference to Maria, delightful and professional. Excellent food, with attention to detail also in the presentation, with plenty of choice. Very good chefs, even on desserts and present in the room. I end with the entertainment, a heterogeneous team of kids who complement each other, led by Luca. Always present, but not intrusive, they offer fun and more. ALL with interesting stories and ALL very professional. Special thanks to Giada who took care of our puppy, he had so much fun that we had to go to the mini club to see him. And finally a word for Arturo, an explosion of joy and inexhaustible energy that I hope will take him far.

Comfortable and well organized place, suitable for children and families. Very active animation, shows and entertainment. There is the Baby Club which involves children during the day and makes them do activities such as games, sports, swimming pool and beach games and Baby Dance in the evening. I had a good time, excellent food, equipped beach, rooms cleaned every day and the week was pleasant and quiet.

Absolutely recommended for the cuisine, of a high standard. We stayed full board for a week, the first and second courses were always different and excellent. A great variety of dishes, both for fish lovers and for those who prefer meat or first courses. It's definitely the strong point. The part dedicated to children requires more attention. The small playground should be replaced as it is obsolete and expanded. We did not take advantage of the entertainment as the structure did not yet offer the service at the beginning of June. Very friendly staff. Spacious rooms, discreet cleanliness. The bathrooms in the rooms should be renovated. Overall I recommend the structure, also for the location and the beautiful sea of ​​Lacona.

Dated but carefully renovated structure, room with very comfortable beds, bathroom with fabulous shower (on the island there often isn't enough pressure) immersed in a fantastic pine forest, splendid swimming pool, young and always smiling staff, breakfast... nothing is missing. A very real location for visiting every point of the island.

We stayed 7 professors, a driver and 60 students for 3 days at Uappala Hotel Lacona and had a great time! Kind and helpful staff, pleasant and relaxing outdoor spaces, rich buffet, of excellent quality, the same for us even though we were a school group (never happened in many years of educational trips!)
