We went here for a quick meal. Very busy location, right by the ferry taxis so it’s convenient. There are definitely much better places to eat, but this wasn’t terrible. Ordered gnocchi and pizza and it was standard, nothing impressive

A historic bar on Capri, always open as soon as you arrive at the Marina Grande port. Over the years, it has undergone renovations, also adding a selection of pastries and gourmet treats. Excellent selection of wines and champagnes. They also make panettone and other cakes to order. Extremely kind and courteous staff.

As expected, this place was extremely expensive — that seems to be the running theme in Capri, unfortunately. The same goes for friendliness, which again felt like a pattern across the island.
To be fair, the service towards us was decent — the staff were relatively friendly. However, I couldn’t help but notice that at two tables near us, guests were treated very rudely, almost snapped at. That’s something I’ve noticed often in Capri: people are pleasant enough until you ask a single question or require even a small bit of extra effort. The moment that happens, their attitude completely changes.
In our case, we didn’t really ask for anything — we just stopped by for a quick coffee and a small bite before catching the ferry. So our service was fine, but I think it’s fair to mention what we saw around us.
The coffee was very good, and the sandwiches were tasty, though it’s hard to ignore that a simple sandwich cost €15. My friend also had what was probably the most expensive croissant of her life — around €11. Again, this is Capri, so sadly not surprising.
Now, one thing that did disappoint us: my friend ordered a plain croissant, but they brought her a chocolate one instead. When she politely said she hadn’t ordered that, they just replied — rather abruptly — “the plain one is finished.” No apology, no offer to choose something else. They simply decided for her, which I found quite rude, especially at these prices. She ended up with a pistachio croissant, which was fine, but the situation could have been handled with more professionalism and courtesy.
Overall, the food itself was good, and thankfully, no one bit our noses off this time (a saying we use in Dutch!). But the attitude and pricing still make it hard to recommend.
If I could, I’d give this place 3.5 stars — the food was tasty, but the attitude and approach don’t justify the cost. Since I can’t, I’ll go with 3 stars, because a 4 would simply be too generous.

The service was top-notch! The waitresses were so friendly, chatty, and full of laughter — both with us and among themselves, which created a warm and welcoming atmosphere. It was quite busy with people coming in from the ships, but everything still ran smoothly. The food was great with a wide variety to choose from — nice to see something different than just pasta and pizza! Prices were normal for Capri. The staff work 12-hour shifts and still manage to be lovely and smiley even at the end of a long day. Truly impressive!
